The Lumenier QAV-X CHARPU FPV Racing drone The QAV-X is named after world-famous Lumenier team pilot and aerial showman, Carlos Puertolas (aka CHARPU) who developed the QAV-X with Lumenier. The QAV-X is designed with one thing in mind - FPV racing.

The QAV-X CHARPU features a light-weight, symmetrical X, super stiff, finely tuned airframe designed for high performance. Stripped to the bare essentials, the airframe loses nothing in terms of strength and durability.

The main 4mm body plate is CNC milled out of a solid sheet of premium Lumenier carbon fiber. The outer weave of the carbon fiber runs 100% down each arm of the QAV-X (0/90 weave), maximizing the strength of the carbon and arms. The center layers are offset on a 45° bias for even and balanced strength throughout the entire plate.

The top plate includes an accessory antenna extension plate, allowing for multiple cable ties to lock down your antenna in place for ultimate security and protection in the event of a crash. The top plate has been designed to allow easy to your VTX button and LED displays for easy channel setting.

Achieving and maintaining the perfect CG is of paramount importance for peak performance and the QAV-X takes care of this neatly by having small bumps on the sides of the top plate to make it easy to check and adjust the center of gravity on your frame in the field to get the perfect balance every time.

A carbon fiber battery protector plate is provided for the bottom mounted battery that wraps underneath the LiPo, sandwiching it between the main plate and protector plate. A neoprene foam pad (also provided) can be attached to the bottom of the protector plate to cushion landings and protect your batteries even more.

The QAV-X features a unique FPV camera system that has the FPV camera recessed partially below the top plate and protected by the top cross bar. The camera side walls then act as an angled wedge to support your HD camera at a 35° angle, doing away with the need to make custom mounts to angle up your camera, just add some of the included neoprene foam, strap your camera down tight and fly!

The airframe comes with high-quality aluminum hardware, premium, black oxide steel screws, and textured high grip spacers. These spacers are 28mm tall rather than the standard 35mm, giving the QAV-X a sleek, low profile look.

Included with the QAV-X CHARPU kit is the popular Lumenier 4Power power distribution board which can be fitted with an optional voltage drop-down circuit (to 12v or 5v) and an XT60 pig-tail for connecting to your favorite batteries.
