The motor mount seems solid but bear in mind that it is made of aluminium. It is quite thick around the motor mounting points, so you will likely have to source longer motor mounting screws. On this note: the motor shaft has to be about a centimeter longer than you need, to account for the thickness of the mount.
In terms of attaching the mount to a set of trucks, the mount performs JUST okay. It seems that this mount has been made for a very specific type of truck that is no longer sold on hobbyking. You may be able to attach it to caliber or paris style trucks with slight modification. The clamping style of attachment is appealing in terms of strength, but ensure to use vibration mitigating products like loctite to ensure it does not loosen.
