Simply put it will not power on. I have a 9xr pro and a FrSky xjt module and they work great together. This Orange module doesn't even try to power on. No beeps No lights nothing. I use it to connect my FrSky Taranis X9D Plus with the Nano QX quadcopter. It works very well and gets connected quickly. The range is definitely enough for this tiny quadcopter.
It could be cheaper, but that's not such a big problem.

Bound up perfectly to my Sport Cub S dsmx rx, this is now the new model though where the antenna lead is not bolts to the case but rather soldered onto a separate board which is soldered onto the main board. this makes it much more difficult to wire up to the internal antenna of the 9xr and 9xr pro

Have been using this unit flawlessly for the past year on a 9X and then a Taranis. But today it died on me, all of a sudden without a cause. Exactly a year.

overall a great product as it let me use my 9x with spectrum receivers, no problem.
my issues with the product:
the module does not fit perfectly into the back of the transmitter, it does not fall out but it is slightly annoying.
the extra antenna makes it scary to put down because the transmitter will rest on it and i am scared that i might break something.
the manual is written in very bad english sometimes it is difficult to understand but not so bad that i don't know what to do.

overall it is a good product if you need it, some small issues but nothing you can't live with.

i can now use my turnigy 9x with spectrum recevers whitch is great. but it dosent quite fit properly in the beck of my transmitter. not a big problem it stays in just fine but it is a slight annoyance. the other small problem is the extra antenna makes is more difficult to put the transmitter down because i get nervous that i might break something. otherwise great product and worth the cost.

Just BUY IT if you have a compatible radio! I have a JR X-3810 (bought in 2003) and this module converted my 40Mhz radio in 2,4Ghz in just 5 seconds!

It works perfectly, very long range and never had interferences.

It saved my 700$ radio from obsolescence!

Using this with Taranis for my Bixler 2 - works like a charm - recommend if using OrangeRX receiver. Just ordered new OrangeRX module with stablilization, will continue using this module.
