This is the smallest OrangeRx receiver on the market at this moment, it measures an infinitesimal 11.7 x 11.7mm and is only 3mm thick and weighs just 0.5g before any wiring is added. This is a DIY receiver that requires the connections to be soldered directly to it, therefore saving the weight and bulk of connectors.

The R614XN is a full 6ch receiver, it has 6 PWM outputs for conventional use or a 8ch SBUS. It is compatible with DSM2 and DSMX 1024/2048 aircraft radio and module systems and has a built in smart failsafe with ultra-fast brownout recovery feature.

The smart failsafe feature is if the signal is lost for a period of less than a second all channels will hold their last command, if the loss of signal is longer than one second then the controls will go to the predetermined position which you have set (ie: closed throttle etc). The fast brownout recovery feature will recover from say a minor power loss or a brief signal with only a slight glitch being seen, recovery is almost instant.

Le premier récepteur était impossible à binder en DsmX.
Il bindait en Dsm2, mais la led restait clignotante, et la portée était très faible.
Remplacé en garantie, le nouveau ne bind toujours pas en DsmX, mais en Dsm2 il bind correctement, et la led devient fixe, avec une portée correcte.

Great Little RX Board for DIY Projects.

Great micro receiver board for DIY projects that require minimal weight. I ended up using gold plated PCB pin connectors on mine to make connections a bit easier at the expense of a bit more weight, but one can simply solder direct to the board pin locations. 6 channels is also a nice number to have if you need extra channels of control. I use 4 because I use these for Throttle, Rudder and Elevator on micro rc airplanes of own design with individual separate servos and esc.
It's stand alone design makes this an attractive device, but would also be nice to have same board incorporated with 2 servos and esc already as a single unit similar to those used in micro helicopters or airplanes for those who would rather not have to solder their own separate components to it. I would not remove this original one from the market as options is what makes it more attractive.
I am giving it 5 stars because under the conditions I just described it is a nice little board. I am going to bypass a little glitch I noticed that when connecting a servo to it it sometimes would not fully connect with it and it was intermittent, this could be due to a bad solder joint since I have swapped servos I have to suspect it is a poor solder joint or bad connection somewhere in the circuit. I only saw this with one of 2 boards I tried.
I really like the layout and compact size.

You have to solder your servos wire to tiny tabs, need good soldering skills
