Received two of these today. Weights are 51.46g and 51.53grams each, without nosecones and set screw. Well moulded. However, the nose cones do not fit. This is the first time I have had this, as all previous ones were fine. I have tried to mix and match to no avail. The shoulder of the cone is slightly too big to fit, and would need machining to correct. Not an option really for those without a lathe. I only need the blades, so not a problem for me, plus I can machine if need be. Something to watch out for. 3 stars on quality for this reason.

Good quality strong replacement for anyone who bought the complete EDF and got stuck with a weaker version fan. This fan weighs 51g without spinner or adapter whereas the weak version weighs 45g. You will see thew difference in blade flexibility as well. This has very stiff blades.

These are the newer heavier type blades. Very stiff and excellently moulded. Minute variations in individual blade weight - maximum deviation I have found in 3 sets is 0.013g

To all intents and purposes, balanced when put together in any order. The nosecone position seemingly does not matter - wherever it was put I got zero vibrations. Excellent rotor!

I had bought one of the first CS 12 blade 90mm edf units and I saw at the internet that some units had exploded and that there blades weight was not the same on all blades.I tried to balanced the rotor and I used a lot of epoxy. So I weight all my 12 blades and the weight was from 2.94 to 3.4gr. After this I ordered one spare 12 blade rotor and when I had them I examined the blades and all were at 3.5gr.Better blades than the first ones.
Durring assemply I glue the blades with Hysol as I do not want surprises from the fan.The balance process was much easier as all the blades weight was at 3.5gr.The good with CS 12 bl 90mm is that produce a lot of thrust with 6s Lipo only , the bad is that it weights twice than other EDF units and if the jet have the edf far back it would have CG problem so a lot of lid weight in the nose.

Great fan. It is very quiet (if properly balanced), VERY powerfull and eats AMPS like a molding machine :-)). I use it in a 2000 Mirage SL. The thing goes without stopping (!) straight up in to the sky. Be carefull with the set-up. This fan pulls 30-40pcnt more amps then conventional ones. I use a high end 1680 kv inrunner, 6S 5000 45C lipo, 120A Esc. Full throttle it pulls 116A. Have fun!
