Great Motor for Losi Mini 8ight

I am running a few of these motors with different windings depending on the speed I need in my Losi Mini 8 Buggie (1/14) together with the track 60A ESC.
This works really well for the complete season now. The setup uses Nanotec 1800mAh 2s 60c
The setup I run most is not the fastest but I run it in the garden on the lawn which is quite high load on the motor. My track in the garden at least fried the original Mini 8ight drive but the Track 380 workes well through out the whole summer now.
The mentioned shaft is 3,17mm like named in the specs. The motor fits tight into the mini 8ight but it works out. This also gave me the chance to change the pinions in the Mini-car to the ones I always use. Shaft diameters below 3,17 are crap anyway. The 3,17mm shaft and the existance of cooling wholes were the reasons why I bought this motor as a replacement for my mini 8ight.
The cooling system seems to work and keeps the motor alive :-)

FANTASTIC motor for my Losi Mini 8ight - INSANE!!

First of all, thanks to Jeffery below - helpfull review!
The motor from my m8ight is broken and time to look for a good value motor.
I've decided to keep the orig. ESC from Losi and it works great.
I've ordered following hop-up to fit the TS380 in my Losi Mini 8ight:
- Exotek Racing_Big Bore Motor Mount
Changed to a steel spur gear and pinion:
- Hot Racing 56t gear
- Hot Racing 18t pinion
The power is insane, steel is must have!! I drive principal with 2S and he is soo fast, with 3S incredible INSANE. (Motor Temp. 60-75C)

Working great so far in mini 8ight-t

I put this in my Losi mini 8ight-T, using an exotek big bore motor mount, perfect fit. Hotracing makes a hardened spur and pinion, I chose 60/12 and everything fits and works without modification. I paired this motor with the trackstar 30a esc, and temps stay around 100 degrees F. So far, couldnt be happier, this combo with 3 cell lipo rips!

Super Motor for LC Racing 1/14

I Use this as a repalcement in that 1/14 Buggy and rally car and it fits well. Motor is powerfull I use it on 2S lipos.

Only small con for that motor, it does not have a face under pinion Screw

Motor does not fit a LaTrax 1/18 short course truck the shaft is to big and the will not mount in the motor mount that is standard on 1/18 scale vehicles. my loss good looking motor.
