Fantastic plane for the money. If you're new to r/c like me. before your first flight, I suggest you set your rudder and elevator to the least amount of movement. I learned the hard way. My motor shaft broke off from a crash. If this happens, the best fix is to buy a 3.17mm prop-saver for one or two dollars. Also try to use new O-rings before you fly.

Bought this thinking it would be as tough as its big brother , but its not , the cowling shatters if you have a hard landing. If your looking for durable get the Trainstar 1.4m

Got this plan yesterday, even though i am pissed at HK for cheating on the expensive "Free Shipping" scam, I honestly feel the plane is built nicely and of a good quality.
The wings are nice and thick and have reinforcement in it. The best par is that they are one so no glue is needed for joining them. The elevator hinge is a bit over done, but a simple tape will do the job. I would recommend to reinforce all the hinges on the tail surfaces.
I haven't flown the plane yet but it looks promising. will update more after maiden.

Very good Basic Trainer.
Construction level req. ARTF.? I needed to replace the 2x screws that hold the Tailplane together. as the ones supplied were too short. and if you are using the recommended HobbyKing batteries? You will need to add approx. 60 grams weight to the Nose to balance the C of G correctly. also no Elastic Wing Retaining-bands were included with my Plane as supplied.

2450mA compact Lipo balances this model. Flies in control at walking pace.
ESC did not cut off at low voltage, throttle would not react to inputs, so wobbled in under low throttle this caused a little nose over with a prop strike. This resulted in a bent shaft. Recommend removing threaded part of shaft and use a collet type prop adapter as the motor is fine for this model.
Everything else about this model is great. Note;- Second model had band protectors on both wings.

Bummer
Just bought TWO at full price. Great kit, top quality. The engineering is perfect. Even the tail wheel is held in a plastic retainer molded into the rudder.The only bad point is the wing strengtheners for the bands are only on the 3 channel wing ! Require swapping to the aileron wing. Will take plenty of battery, bought to play with APM to save expensive models. If this fly's as good as it builds, ...... it is good at FULL price.

Wonderful, brilliant trainer for newcomers to the hobby! And with the added 3ch and 4ch wing options it covers the first two steps in the hobby! With a plastic body it is very rigid and withstands all crashes.
