The Turnigy TWIN X14 is an exclusive HobbyKing offering, featuring a unique colour that sets it apart in the market. This robust radio system comes preloaded with HobbyKing planes, ensuring a seamless experience straight out of the box. It also boasts the capability of utilizing dual 2.4GHz frequencies simultaneously on the same receiver when using the TW mode. This is different from standard active-standby redundancy solutions, as the TW active protocol ensures that both 2.4GHz frequency bands are actively being used by the internal RF module and the receiver simultaneously.
Equipped with two internal 2.4G RF antennas, the TWIN X14 offers expansive multi-directional coverage for transmitting signals. These attributes, along with the exterior antenna, provide higher reliability, less latency, and faster data rates. In addition to the TW mode, the TWIN X14 also supports ACCST D16 and ACCESS modes, meaning users can benefit from a wide range of compatible receiver options.
The compact, ergonomic design ensures that all the buttons, switches, and sliders are very easily accessible. The TWIN X14 also offers 4 customizable buttons, these are sensibly placed in the center of the transmitter for easy access. An example of using these buttons is when flying an RC glider you can configure these buttons as additional trim functions. These buttons become invaluable for making adjustments when flying and allow pilots to adjust the angle of the flaps and control surfaces according to the real-time air environment.
With the TWIN X14 there is no need for users to fret over the amount of storage available. It boasts a built-in 128MB flash storage facility that provides ample space for your file storage requirements. Its practicality extends to a battery bay that can accommodate a 2600mAh Lithium Battery (not supplied). This is easily replaceable/exchanged, and the Tx features a Type-C port for recharging and data transfer. Further enhancing its user-friendly design, the TWIN X14 introduces an attachable, and foldable structure on the rear case. This design allows for the easy installation of an additional stand holder which is available separately.
