I must have purchased 10 of these and 8 have been powerful and fast, but 1 has stopped working unless the shaft has pressure applied, one is slow at first but returns to normal after it is cycled a few times.
All the servos have only had moderate use.
I find this failure rate worrying ;(
Problem now is what do I buy instead next time?

you have to open gear and greas, gear is completly dry

Great servo, but the supplied hardware is naff

Have these on throttle in large IC boats, the servo itself I cannot fault, but the supplied plastic arms are rubbish, they're very cheaply made from nasty plastic.

Great servos for a great price

I have so fare "abused" these servos trough about 60 flights/7h of 3d flights with gyro in a 52" EF slick and they are still going strong. would definitly buy these again for a similar project.
I opened them and added some grease to the gear prior to use.

I use this in the weapon of a fighting robot. It is exceptionally robust and reliable. I bought 4 and none have broken yet!

It works perfect with 8.4 V
Tested in Jet model so in big piston (DLE120) on throttle just at the engine.

think one of the best servo :-)

I bought a mixed bunch of 390, 393 and 396 servos, initially they were great apart from one failure on arrival. Within a month two more had failed and were replaced. 3 months on and I have 4 more total failures and 2 that are glitching.
Don't buy them!!!
