It does have all the functions it claims but not worth the money in my opinion. The screen resolution and font size are terrible unless you have hawk eyes, the backlight on function is the same as the (min voltage recording) so it sets every time the back light is used. It is highly inaccurate, of the box was a good 0.250v off but it can be calibrated using the (voltage trim interface) and once I did that using a Fluke 289 the voltages are acceptable but now the battery energy meter function shows 100pcnt at 3.8v per cell (it should be around 50pcnt). For a couple bucks less you cam get the Junsi Cell-Log 8M from HK that has more functions, it is pretty accurate and the screen is much easier on the eyes. Another couple lipo battery meters favorites of mine that I own and recommend are the Junsi Cell_Log 8S and the Hyperion EOS SENTRY a bit pricier but worth every bit.

Case Seems to be coming apart (small gap) at the seams that clips in (on the side your balance plug goes in, not a big problem use a zip tie/allways put the end cap back on, hopefuly wont break or come apart on me!

This cell recorder tells you what you want to know, however the screen is too small and cluttered. The contrast is so bad a magnifying glass is needed to see the results. For the price it is good but a better screen would make this an excellent bit of kit. It is also plastici.

I've got this one with another appearance (blue plastic) and it was brand "hobbyking". Anyway, it's working well to understand if the cells are charged. There is no real another applicability, just to fast measure cells voltage.

This little box has lots of nice features and works pretty well. as others have stated its really plasticy. its biggest letdown is the screen being so poor. The gain is set too high so its very black and 'over exposed'. There is pointless scrolling stuff saying hobbyking which just gets in the way. it does the job but the implementation is pretty poor. Still recommended just don't have too high expectations. Its very useful but get something better if you use this sort of thing all the time.

This is the Hobbyking version and not like the above picture of the AEO version seem to work OK so far.

Still do not know, how this tester works with 1s lipos. Works well with 2s lipos, but dont get any display with 1s lipos - no matter, which plugs I use.
Any idea what to do? Should work with 1s, too...
