Just fitted to my MK24. Worked a charm!

However..... The rims of the replacement wheels look cheap and horrid compared to the one in the product picture which were the same as my A/C originally came with. So do the tyres.

Whilst the horrid wheels are more round, more centrally drilled than the originals, they look crap - even the wife said toy like!

You can swap them with the original wheels BUT you will need to use the little plastic spacer and the thin metal washer from the outgoing pair as padding to help stabilise the nice but not round and wobbly original wheel on the new oleo axleI put them next to the circlip.

NOTE the retaining circlip is a different size - so you must use the new circlip and not the old one.


Come on HK those wheels cheapen the experience!

Very good retracts! Resin body with a metal leg attachment. They will work in the Parkzone Spitfire Mk IX but you have to use the Parkzone legs, wheels, and gear doors. Two of the four mount holes match up with the screw blocks in the wing. For the other two the supplied screws tap into the plastic mount block in the wing.

The Durafly legs are too long but are easily replaced with the Parkzone landing gear by removing two grub screws on the metal part of the retract. I used the original fixed gear legs by using heat to straighten out the bend and cutting to length. (Temper in water) Or you could use the legs for the E-Flite retracts.

Howdy Pilots, this is the best thing Hobbyking have for sale. These are absolutely awesome. Not only are they cheap, they are very well made and for servo-less retracts, I don't know how they do it for the price. I bought a set to use on my Parkzone MK IX Spitfire and only had to make some minor reshaping to the wheel cover to make them a perfect fit. I will definitely be getting a few more sets to keep for down the track when I get planes which can be modified for retracts. I cannot praise these enough to justify how good they really are, get some quick, you will not be disappointed, 5 stars all round. AWESOME. Blue skies... Allan
