The only good thing i have to say about this is that it arrived . I wasn't expecting much for the money . This thing constantly chews spur gears even when the mesh is good and even running the slipper slightly loose still strips gears. I have run only about six packs through it ( not even full packs ) on 2s and have stripped it every time . Out of the box stripped within , 20 sec i am not kidding .

Cooles kleines Auto und verblffend schnell. Fahre es an 2S und laut Handbuch soll der Regler ohne weiteres 3S vertragen. Das Auto aber wohl eher nicht. Vllig berpowert.

Die Qualitt ist fr diesen Preis gut bis sehr gut. Mein Servo hat eine Macke in der Servoarmbefestigung... Naja, was soll's. Getauscht und gut.

Ein wenig schwieriger ist die Neutralstellung der Servos. Das lt sich nur am Sender lsen. Am Auto ist das mit den gelieferten Anlenkungen nicht mglich. Mit einem kleinen Umbau geht es aber sofort.

Fazit: Ich wrde es sofort wieder kaufen. Ein wenig basteln MUSS sein. Sonst macht es keinen Spa!

Received my Monster Beetle in good time, awesome little rig, broke the rear suspension mount on the 3rd battery. Aluminium option parts make this bus awesome. This is epic for the money, very quick, very happy.

Great car, until it breaks. Repair parts are not available from US warehouse and will take 45 days to arrive. Fast delivery in US, if only parts were available. Now I have to hope the parts arrive someday from the "Overseas Warehouse", wherever that is.

Goes fast but seems like its made from glass. Has way more powerthan it can handle with 2 cell lipo. If you set it up with a turn and hit the throttle it will flip over from standstill.

I really wanted to love this little car, it is fast and cheap and it was a gift for my son - I have experienced many failed parts in a very short time, the buggy has spent 3 hours on my kitchen table being repaired and had til now about 10 minutes total run time.

Failed C holder (front) on very first minor collision within 30 seconds of use. I jumped on the HK website parts were out of stock - no problem, I thought I'll just order another buggy as well as back ordering parts, then I can have 1 bug for spares.

2nd Buggy arrives:

Stripped spur gear, (the gear is exposed on the rear at the base) I was using the car on very fine gravel and I can only assume bits of gravel flicked into the gear meshing between the motor cog and the spur shredding several cogs. 2nd buggy out of action within 2 minutes.

So far I have killed 2 buggies with about 90pcnt charge left in my first battery.

So I pull the C bracket from buggy 2 and get buggy 1 on the road again.

Buggy 1 is back on the road and within 2 minutes the front dogbone holder / wheel bearing breaks (a metal part split in half, not sure how this can even happen - dog bone goes off into space)

Lucky I have buggy 2 for parts - but now buggy 2 can never be a real car again, 30pcnt of its parts have already been stripped to keep buggy 1 on the road and buggy 2 is now in 100 pieces all over my table.

I don't have high hopes for a long l

Too much fun for the money you pay !!

I run it on a 2200mah 2S from Zippy/Traxxas.

I tried to run it on a 3S, but this killed my spur gear. While it ran on the 3S, it was like a rocket !!!

This buggy is really quite amazing value. Full built just need to add receiver. It is worth adjusting the motor pinnion gear engagement before running, it was a little tight and there should be a small amount of play.



If you are running on rough terrain outside, it is worth setting the tops of the shocks to the lower holes, this will give the buggy more ground clearance.



Comes with a servo saver is adjustable.



The recommended 1700mah 2s batteries is a snug fit (width) in the battery compartment. You can take off one of the plastic battery restricters from the chassis (from 2 screws at the bottom) this is make it much easier.



The biggest and probably the only problem is that the body mounting posts could be a little longer. I could not really get the body shell to mount level to the chassis because of this! Only a small complaint.

RC broke down after 3 min of run. Pinion shaft holder is poorly made, so motor pinion can damage spur gear. There are some aftermarket pieces, made from steel (P.S.H.,spur gear) which are much needed. Pinion screw is loctited on rear diff shaft,takes a lot of nerves getting it off. Every screw must be checked if it is tightened enough. For the drive: fun car, love to drive it, on 3S is wild, nice handling and good looking. Sum: cheap and fun, but with problems, which can be fixed. Buy it?: I would, again.
