Take to the skies with this durable glider with optional FPV camera mounting. The Ranger 1600 is easy to assemble and features a large wingspan for stability in the air. The airfoil wings are fitted with two spars to strengthen the wings in high wind situations. Use the wing clips to click and plug the wings into the fuselage. After flying, simply squeeze the clips to release the wings and easily store the plane in your car.

The plug-and-fly plane is a single-body aircraft with a plastic fuselage that offers flexible, lightweight protection in case of crash landings. At the front of the fuselage, a pre-cut hole gives you the option of adding an FPV camera. The position puts you right in the pilot's seat without having to cut into the sturdy body of the plane yourself.

Remove the black canopy to reveal a flat bed for mounting different cameras, transforming your glider into the perfect FPV model or videography vehicle. Glide through the air with this AMAZING electric-powered glider that's perfect for weekend flying.

Have 30 flights on the clock now ,have replaced the motor by a SK3 Aerodrive 2836-1500kv with the same prop 8x4 Turnigy Esc 40Ahp ,this is a winning combination ,lots of power .Longer flying time with the same battery .
The only thing wrong is the manual that is coming with the plane,it is not mentioning nothing how to fit your prop . .
Have seen 3 fellow club members all new to the hobby ,they have there propeller fitted the wrong way around ,this means with the text printed on de prop pointing to the back of the plane,this is the wrong way around ,the text on the prop has to point to the flying direction .If you fit it the other way on it the plane will fly only with a full
battery for 1 min and then you go down,have seen video on Youtube guys making the same mistake ,and qualify the plane as junk blaming HK for selling junk that's not truth . ,if they only had fitted the prop the right way with the text pointing to the flying direction ,the outcome would be totally different .
Give it a try and you will see .

Good price and good value. Everything works well. Gentle and easy to fly. If you find thermals, you can fly 30 minutes on one battery (gliding and getting lift from thermals and not using the motor at all).

What a wonderful flyer and such a good bargain! Managed to strip the rudder servo already, so metal gear servos might be a good upgrade. Programmed the electric break on the ESC. ESC seems to uses the same menu system as the Turnigy Blue Series.

Bought this birdy to have some fun flying on the campsite in France .
It's one of the best buy's I ever did at Hobbyking ,I have now about 10 flights on this bird, and I like it every time more .I fly it with a 3 cell 4500 mah and have flights from about 30 minutes hang gliding over the dunes of the beach .The motor is starting to get a bit noisy
so expect that it on it's way out (maybe the sand of the beach is playing a roll it that ),and the ESC is getting very hot ,so I replace them together before they quit .
The plane itselves is holding very well ,the fuselage is almost indestructible and the epo wing is holding very well to despite the very short wing beam that came with it (I had some doubts whether that would be strong enough but so far without problems)
I can really recommend this plane .

Bought this as my first RC plane and FPV setup. Bought everything I would need for it at the same time.
Followed the instructions, put it together correctly, installed all the components per the instructions as well. Balanced the plane properly with the FPV gear installed, and centered all the flaps.
Gave it a light toss just like all of the videos on youtube; instant nosedive.
When it takes a nose-dive, the ESC comes unplugged from impact.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
First crash from 4' in the air bent the metal rod that runs into the wings. I then have a V shaped wing pattern. Tried to bend it back, but it is stronger than I am. A foam wing can bend it no problem, but my 200 pound self was no match for it. Kept trying.
Gave it a little less throttle this toss,
Instant nose dive.
That broke the mounting clips that secure the wings to the body.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
3 try- gliding, no throttle.
Glided great!
4th flight. Nosedive into turn, wing damaged again, and now tail.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
5th, move gear back so it is slightly tail heavy. Instant tail-dive.
This broke the inner wooden structure that you would use to mount electronics.
At this point the tail sections is so damaged its not even funny.
But- gotta keep trying! Removed FRP gear. Flew about 10', gave it throttle, nosedive.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
At this point what I noticed was when you give it throttle, the motor is so powerful, it forces the nose of the plane down.
6th flight, no increase to throttle, just what I guessed would be cruising speed.and launch attempt.
Flew 25' feet away or so, tried to gain altitude, gained altitude, but with the tail in such bad of shape, it went into a roll doing a series of somersault as it hit the ground.
This being the best crash yet, surprisingly no addition damage.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
7th flight, vertical stall.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
At this point, the insulation from most of the wiring is rubbed off probably due to repeater impacts from what remains of the wooden structure.
Hoping plane bursts into flames.
8th flight,somersault.
Remove screws, remove motor, plug ESC back in, reinstall.
Realign bent rod,force wings back into body.
At this point I'm debating just throwing the thing in the dumpster at the park.
Try again, with similar results.
Go to local hobby shop, bought a $30 mini-piper cub plane.
Go back to park, and enjoy my 2nd RC-Flying experience.
The piper cub is extremely easy to fly. A bit too fast for my taste, but the girlfriend had a great time with it too.

Just a short flight of about 5 mins. I did not like the look of huge Wedgetail Eagle wanting the same airspace. This is a 1600 metre wingspan model and the eagle looked way bigger! I would recommend this model to anyone.

Click on wing very convinient to transport. Also inside canopy it has many spots and shelves to instal all equipement You need. I have on it FPV Gear like: camera, camera Tx, current sensor, GPS, Arkbird autopilot as well as Frsky Rx plus standard battery. Everything fits nicely because there was plenty of room to set it up inside and seperate from each other. With all that flies still niceand have enough power. Plua dihedral on wings makes it easy plane to learn for beginners. Pusher configuration as well on plus if You are not too expierienced Flyer and have hard landing. To sum up I can only Recomend You to buy one, for this price if its right plane for Your needs(fx. FPV) - You will not regret it!

Really good with the plastic body very strong, flies really well, I use 2650 mah get about 15 mins powering all fpv gear. Have flowen on 3000mah but I think that's the limit. stable.

Waited for this glider to come out for 3 months and boy was it worth the wait. Build, setup and maiden flight all went well. This thing is a floater with plenty of power and will make the perfect FPV setup. Guy's buy one, you wont regret it. Perfect CG (70MM from leading edge) is a 2200 3s shoved to the very front of the nose plus 40 grams of weight or 1.41oz. FPV gear will change this so make sure you set CG again after all your gear is installed. Buying a second one right now just in case I crash it.:)
