This car is good after a fair bit of tweaking and some slight modification to fit a decent size battery! I run 4074 turnigy motor on 6s and so far it seems to be handling the power!

Car is ok...ish
Differentials have now oil inside.
The washers inside the differentials are either bent or too thick.
Consequence is that differential do not move smoothly. One of them was completely blocked.
Steering works better when you add ball bearings.
The oil inside the shock is not thick enough. Needs to be changed.
Missing threadlock on screws
Tires have very few grip.
The rest of the chassis seems robust enough but I have not had any big crash yet.

all parts are built for long life.only the tires are not the best choice. The motor attachement is really nice and could be standard by other chassis.

I love it!, Great Car, Big... Put in 100amp ESC and a 4076 brushless (2200KV) it SCREAMS on 4 cells. I like so much, I bought another one!
My AAR had the wrong pinion gear and my 63 year old eyes didn't notice, I promptly shredded the Spur gear, (made of plastic) I found that the 46tooth berserker central differential will replace the one in my Pirate... back on the road. (the 44tooth tropper 4x4 also works,
HobbyKing still gets 5 stars! and 5 stars for Ralph... customer service rep!

Large Touring Car

Don't expect an Arrma quality car. You get what you pay for.
Did some minor adjustments. Out of the box, the diffs are completely empty, no or almost no diff oil. Also there is a washer inside the diffs, that totally blocked the diffs. So before taking a spin, check the diffs.
The spur on the center diff, is not a metal one. Pinion 13T (3mm) is provided. Diffs are less quality and smaller as an other brand 1/8 diff. Compared to a Berserker diff or Arrma diff, they are tiny.
There is a lot of alu in this kit. At this pricepoint very uncommon.
Don't know if it can stand a lot of running on 4S batteries. Maybe start with 3S and see if everything holds... time will tell
Spare parts are available at other stores. Maybe that Hobbyking decides to sell them also...? ;) Car shares some parts with the ZD Racing Pirates2 Truggy...

Great kit

Great piece of kit. Lots of aluminum. Have ran several pack through it and diffs are holding up so far. I’ve got it up to 50mph with stock spur and and pinion. And I’m currently upgrade its power system. 1/8 touring car for less 200$. Can’t beat it. So nice that I bought a second one.
