Beyond bright on a 3S but you will need to mount it to something to help dissipate the heat, started to get hot the touch after only 30 sec.

FIRST! The JST connector is installed backward on mine. The red is positive and the black is negative, but the connector was installed with reverse polarity.

This thing came on at 8V. At 9V it was blinding bright. I stopped at 9V. I was not sure what the voltage rating was so I wanted to check before going higher. I will try it up to 12V. This should light the entire room at that voltage. I don't think it would be a good idea to try bending it and there are no cut marks like the ribbon ones. It is 10" long so if you don't have that much room, this is not for you.

Bought to use in headlights of my truck. Used a Load resistor 20watt 8 ohm in line with it to make it compatible with the trucks voltage system. If you do not it will shorten the life of the LED strip. Looks Great!! Just like newer cars and trucks that have White LED Headlights.

There is 2 row of leds and each leds are separated by 2.5 mm.

I see no indication that we can cut the strip, but it is possible to link another one at the end.

When powered by a 12 V power supply, it is extremly bright ( can't look at it directly ) and the current is 3.8 A instead of the 800 mA described in this page ( therefore 45W ). The temperature of the Alu back plane also rise extremly fast and would probably destroy the leds if not attached to a good heat sink. ( my test only last 10 sec as I was not able to hold it any longer )

If I limit the current to 800 mA, I read a voltage of 9.2V (7.36W). The led stick is still uniform and verry brigt. The alu back plane no longer overheat at that power.

I also tested my 10W RED stick. This one have a current regulator on the wires going to the Leds. It only draw 600mA @ 12V ( 7.2W ). Conclusion: they just forgot to put the current regulator on my white strip.

Nevertheless, verry uniform and verry bright leds even at 7.2W

Incredibly bright! By the lumen rating on 12v i was expecting around the output of a 60w incandescent, but because the light outputs only in a 120 degree arc it is similar to a 100w incandescent bulb. Only problem with them is they require a good heatsink as they will reach 60 C in less than a minute when run on 12v. I am going to try 1 inch aluminum channel. They may be ok when run on 2s to mark a plane or quad as they are still very bright to look at. But if you are using them for space lighting you will want to use 3s or 12v. Also these draw 0.83 Amps each on 12v, most 12v wall warts don't put out much more than 1A if that. If you want to run more than one you will need a much better power supply.

These are very good LEDs. And they are good enough for a complete room. There is nothing negative point. The only little minus is the temperature. And I think that the aluminium stripe must be a little brighter for heat sink. From me for that REVOLUTION on World 5 STARS! The price must go down more than everybody on world "HAS TO CHANGE" his lights in rooms citylights and so on! THAN WE NEVER WILL NEED LONGER ATOM POWER !!!!! FOR ME THE PRODUCT OF THE CENTURY. AND PLEASE MAKE LONGER STRIPES !!! For example complete wings or more than 1m in every colour.
