this is one of the best fans out there, when install with an inrunner, im using HET 700 98 series, it didn't need any dynamic balancing, how ever the blade rubbed the shroud, so i had to sand it down and progressively run up the fan to full power which is 5800 watts in my case on 12s pulling about 135A. I already had 2 of these explode and the result is very dangerous so pls be careful. I have it in my falcon 120 test bed jet on 12s 8000 w YEP 14s 180HV esc, intake lip and exit cone installed for max efflux, and the sound is terrific. 8 mins of flight is possible with throttle management. Spektrum telemetry says ground speed of 125mph, but im really not pushing it that hard during flight to get the max speed either

More tests on this EDF...using a brand new 5692 inrunner ( 6500W motor) 1000KV motor, running on 10S. There is NO way!!! Erh7771 (posted previous results and many others, that are... unreal. ) got over 18lbs with a 14S, 560kv motor at 32k rpm. I got 16.5 lbs at 5850W. Sorry, no RPM calculation but definately above 32k. Here are some final calculations numbers from erh7771: 600W/Kgr of thrust No way... Mine 780W/kgr of thrust. This is a 12 blade configuration that is not as efficient as 7,6,5 etc blade config. If you have experience with edfs, you know what I am talking about. I know only of some 5-6 blade edf at 90mm, that can be as efficient to claim 600w/Kgr Final words, a great deal at $60 (paid $79 long time ago) with realistic sound.

I just finished my EDF and the first try was done using a 1200KV motor running at 7S. Guess what? Arcdirect and HK (max 45K) are right! This is a high RPM edf and needs a lot of RPM. I got only 8.4 lbs thrust. Far below its full potential. 4 stars for being too expensive(paid $79, now $67) when someone can get a 90mm at $130 with 12lbs of thrust, ready to use. Balancing was is easy but time consuming. First rotor adapter, then complete impeler. Sound is excellent. Have to increase RPM to see its thrust limit. That means more expensive ESC. Have a good day all.

The Fan is a 560 - 670kv fan 850KV is to high KV
Testing done with 65c 3300mah Nanos
- Scorpion 560kv motor 12s\95a\15lbs thrust static 4400watts.
- Scorpion 560kv motor 14s\120a\18lbs-9oz thrust static 5100watts.
Turnigy HeliDrive SK3 560kv motor is good for fan, Mc Master Carr makes 6mmID 8mmOD tubes for motor adapter in case 6mm adapters can't be found.
Before running at high power do these things in this thread on RCG here - w w w . r c g r o u p s . c o m / forums/showpost.php?p=22044359&postcount=3870 ....
I give 4 crowns cause of extra work but it's well worth it, the sounds is great and so is power. If used with 14s YEP 120 good power is available.
