This is not one of those ... But that's ok because I have one of those too. This is a little bigger and easier to hold, plenty of air flow out the front end to keep things cool and blow away whatever you are grinding. It is NOT a 6 speed it's VARIABLE yeah even better and a nice range at that. Comes with a bunch of pink stone grinding bits, a dressing stone (that rectangular one) for cleaning and reshaping the stone bits as they wear, a small and smaller drill the size of the two collars that hold the bits, sanding drum rubber wheel for the sanding cylinders, couple of diamond bits and one I like ... starts at shaft size and tapers to a fine point! A little wrench to tighten the collar, felt polishing disks, sanding disks and cutoff disks. And in addition a goose neck LED light which slides into a dovetail at the rear on top and reaches to the front, has the very small button cells inside so expect them to run down in a few hours of use. A great ... stocking stuffer ...oh I said it and not even Thanksgiving for more than a week yet. In addition, from a few other reviews, I didn't find it that loud, more of a deeper whir than the dentist drill sound of a Dremel tool. On sale so get one while they last!I recieved this today and i must say the quality of this 24 dollar dremel feels quite nice. The chuck and bits are balanced as well, though, at first, i did encounter an unbalanced drill but. I believe this may have been caused by me inserting the bit past the flat circumference to the actual grooved sides of the bit are. I haven't put this thing through strenous exercise so i can't say if it can take the heat. I'll definitely let you guys know if it breaks all-of-a-sudden.Purchased mine about 1 year ago-use it a lot. Runs very smooth and fits in all of the Dremel drill presses and router tables. I am very pleased with it and may buy another to leave permanently installed in my drill press- Five stars.Bob M..This baby is great but the led batteries where DOA. sucks but i can buy cheap ones on ebaby!! It is worth the price you have to make a larger order 2.5kg to drop the shipping costs of this heavy item.
It runs fast and it sounds scaryThis is nearly identical to my dremel 400XPR. It looks the same, it's the same shape, it even fits in the same box. Most attachments are interchangeable, EXCEPT for the collet nut. This isn't important for most people, but my 400xpr set came with an extension that attaches where the collet nut usually goes, and it will not fit because it attaches to the OD of the collet...not the inside of the collet as most attachments. Other differences include the position of the on/of switch, and the position of the speed control knob.
My 400XPR had been sent in for warranty work twice since I bought it, and it finally went up in a puff of smoke. It had never been used excessively hard. I haven't used this new hobbyking rotary tool hard yet, but I feel like the bar was set pretty low by dremel. I'll never spend $100 on a dremel tool again when I could burn up 6 of these hobbyking tools and still have a few bucks left over from buying ONE dremel tool.
Great job hobbyking! I'm not sure how long this thing will hold up, but i'm certainly pleased so far! This thing doesn't compare to a dremel, but it's good for hobby applications. It's a bit heavier and bulkier and has less power, but seems like a solid-quality product. It also came with this cheap little work light but I can't figure out where to stick on the tool. Still handy to have. Would be nice if HK sold bits for this, so I could use them as space filler in future orders.I ordered one, and was so impressed with the quality, I bought another one for the workshop.great add on for my tools on the bench for fast cutting, with out having to change out my other Dremel set.If someone wants to know, this handtool fits OK in the Dremel 220 Workstation, just need to put it in sideways.
The Dremel chuck, however, didn't fit.
Se algum quiser saber, essa ferramenta encaixa perfeitamente no suporte vertical da Dremel. S necessrio por de lado.
J o mandril rpido da Dremel no encaixou.A top notch quality item. looks and feels and runs like a Makita tool. Nice detachable worklight and variable rpm control also. I also have a Dremel at work, and this HK unit is nicer!
Mine came with a std US plug - no need to modify.
