This is an easy to fit mini signal amplifier module designed to fit the DJI transmitters as used with the Phantom 1 and 2. The range can effectivily be doubled once this unit is fitted and a range of up to 4km has been achieved.

The amplifier can automatically switch between transmitting and receiving mode without damaging the 2.4GHz radio control unit. This is due to its built in high speed auto switching circuit.

It can be applied to other transmitting and receiving devices that utilise the 2.4GHz frequency, such as other 2.4GHZ radio units and WiFi routers etc.

Watch out when screwing the booster onto the tx,the in plug on my booster broke off becourse of a bad solder job and its a pain in the lower back to resolder.

i just received my unit but I was told that the internal would hook up just fine when I took it apart what do you think I found,no hook up the internal is soldered so the unit is useless to me now and the file tab for the manual dosn't work either so what am I sappose to do with it now ?

Just received this radio amplifier. As it comes with a 6dbi antenna, the EIRP will be around 7.962W, which already is illegal in my living area, and so, I use it with a 3dbi antenna resulting EIRP value of 3.991W.
DIY work is a kind of easy, disassembly the original DJI phantom 1 2.4Ghz remote control and replace the antenna parts, that's all.
Range is longer than I expected but didn't take an accuracy measure
