Absolutely necessary for connecting some of the Turnigy LiPos that have 8 AWG wires! The 12 AWG wires of these connectors should be enough for most situations.

Great connector. For the record, these do not fit the red battery connectors on turnigy packs.

they use 12 gage wire witch is very fine strand, better for power to flow through with less resistance. a very good option if your bad at soldiering on new connections or don't want to cut original battery terminals. personally i like the traxxas connectors because there on all my other batteries and would like to be able to use the connector without changing the original plug good product in my book.
