Everything worked out of the box. The camera was indeed 12V since it has a 78L15 regulator on it. This means that it can accept up to 15V and down the voltage to 5V automatically. The picture was good and no problems so far. Heat wise, the receiver was a bit warm but neither the Tx or the Rx were hot to the touch.

Got mine today, works great right out of the box. Did not need to swap any wires and/or add a bec for the camera as mentioned in previous posts. I also purchased a wide angle lens, definitely worth it. :-)

My camera came complete and worked the first time I hooked it up without any modifications. I guess that HK was listening to all of your complaints. All that is missing is a 12v BEC.

Also had to flip red and white wire at the camera. That's why I gave only 4 stars for overall and quality. Once you do that, it does work great though. So again, the wire harness for the camera was wrong on mine (as well as many others it seem!). Simply flip red and white and it does work. Transmitter is very heavy (very heavy case). Receiver has single output (would have been nice to have two).

Awesome set-up, did check the wiring before 1st use, everything was ok...

Excellent kit for the money, got to 1KM without a glitch using skew planar & clover leaf antennas....

of the start i checked that the unit powered up . then after it did i removed the case and covers from the circuitry for a once over and all looked fine. at first glance the unit appeared to be a refurbished one. with a few new resistors and some flux still on the board , after an alcohol wash it was good to go back to the case. but i did add some thermal grease to the transmitter side opposite the led display , so better heat transfer could occur and less chance of overheating . dont forget to install he wedges on the led side to push it towards the thermal paste :)
there really was no difference between this and the other brands i own that have the same cases . for the price it was a fair deal. buy they really need to make everyone aware about the wiring harness issue for the camera !!

Purchased this setup and received my order in the USA in 10 days from order. I swapped the red and white wire going to the camera on the harness, applied 11.3 volts to it from a 3S LiPo and it works great. Clear picture!! The transmitter case is very very nice. I have not yet tested the range with the stock antennas, but I will update this soon when I do. Great Job!!

THIS DOES WORK! OK, so I ordered this product a couple months ago, and up until yesterday I was stumped. I have finally got it working! IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS WORK, YOU MUST SWITCH THE RED AND WHITE WIRES TO THE CAMERA. THE BLACK WIRE IN THE MIDDLE STAYS IN THE MIDDLE. YOU CAN DO A QUICK TEST OF THIS BY PLUGGING IN THE CAMERA CONNECTOR UPSIDE DOWN. THERE IS SOME METAL FOR THE ELECTRICITY TO THROUGH. SO JUST TAP IT DOWN ON TO THE PINS AND BE AMAZED!!! I GOT A CLEAR PICTURE ON MY TV SCREEN FROM THE TX TO THE RX. I do not believe a voltage regulator is necessary. Like this so people can be informed!
