Bought this unit to troubleshoot my existing one that stopped showing video feed. When unit arrived I tested and got no picture. After swapping Tx, Rx, and Camera from new to old to see what issue might have been I noticed the wiring harness had the red wire going to the video output on the camera which I thought was odd. Confirmed on my old wire harness that this should have been the white wire. After cutting and resoldering I got my video feed. Further troubleshooting indicated that the camera on my old unit had gone bad. Would not recommend this product due to camera failure and the lack of quality control they had on provided wire harness. I will say the Tx and Rx are great and get excellent range though, my video feed was stable at 1.5 miles with no obstructions and was too scared to test any further.

If you are on the fence about this setup, pull the trigger! Do NOT be tempted to buy the $12 HK cloverleaf antennas, they are crap. Spend your money on the blue ibcrazy antennas. I fly this system with those antennas and I can out fly my controller without so much as a glitch in my video.

I have had this system for a month and have not had any problems. The range is good, I have flown out to 1 mile and not had much trouble except some minor static at high bank angles. The camera works great in low light. I have flown at dusk and it looks no different that during the day. My only problem with this kit is that there is no power cable for the video receiver, I found an old calculator power supply that had the right connector and made my own power cable.

This is an amazing system! It exceed my expectations. I was hoping for it not to have static because there were 2 cell towers about one half a mile away and another one a mile away. luckily I was able to fly in a radius of about 300 Meters and the reception was rock solid. Only time it had gone bad was because I was flying right above me. But aside from that it had a very clear image. For the first time trying FPV it far exceeded my range expectations.

Im happy with what I got in the box, except that the pre-done wiring for the camera and Tx was faulty. I plug the camera and get nothing but a blue screen, lucky I unplugged it before burning out the camera and noticed that the 12 volt and video out were the wrong way around, after some adjusting it all worked. I would of thought that it would have been checked and fixed at the factory. I hope that I find nothing else wrong with any of my orders as eBay's prices are starting to look far more competitive.

Poorly wired, unit did not work. Can't buy replacement VTX only so I essentially wasted money. At least I didn't waste too much money but, wasted none the less

while this is a great value, it came wired all wrong. I didn't expect this problem so I plugged it in and after I noticed the improper wiring I fixed it. Still doesn't work tho, not sure if I fried the camera or transmitter or both.... time will tell. Either way major buzz kill. I am not HK's quality control so I shouldn't have to double check everything like this :(

Just received this unit in the mail. Only took 10 days to come in here in the US. Quality looks good and I can't wait to try it out. this will be my first FPV system. The one issue is the wires on the TX. Positive and Video are switched in the wiring harness. Many people have experienced this. Make sure that your harness is right.

This system came to me with the wiring wrong. So it would have been destroyed had I not corrected the wiring issue prior to powering the unit up. The support at HK was very poor. I chatted with a person who passed me on to someone who was supposed to be a specialist. This specialist named PS 6 on the chat was smug and rude. She assumed I did not look at the posted instructions. She had no idea that the wiring was wrong. When I pointed out that the wiring did not match the silkscreen markings on the camera board, she claimed she did not have access to the correct information to help me. Also, this person could not understand English very well. So I was told to email HK support. Rather than do that, I researched the camera and found that many others have had this same problem and destroyed their camera or sent it back to HK only to be forgotten. One guy said he had to complain 13 times before they gave him credit minus shipping. I bought this setup because it was supposed to be pre wired. How many people destroyed their camera because they trusted HK to wire the camera correctly. How many people sent their camera back and never received any response. Apparently there is no one at HK that is truely a specialist on this. I will post in the files section exactly how to set this system up so you don't destroy it when you power it up.
