HobbyKing have come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

ABS:

ABS is a fantastic plastic for mechanical real world use prints where a durable item is required. It has some give under stress making it perfect for multirotor frames and gears. ABS also has a higher melting point making it more suitable for some applications.

For printing with ABS it is recommended to have a heated print bed or Kapton Tape for proper bed adhesion. ABS can also have a slight odor when printing so a well ventilated room is recommended, please note that it has no odor when the print is finished.

ABS is slightly harder to get dialed in unlike PLA, but once set up the printing is consistent and the prints are truly real world useable. Other popular uses for this material are R/C spare parts, building blocks and toys for the kids.

Severe shrinkage!

I bought a roll of this and a roll of the black HK ABS. Both supplied on the same spools and packed the same. The black prints pretty good but this stuff is horrible. It suffers from severe shrinkage. The bottom 5mm of all my prints using this stuff have a big undercut where they've shrunk, even if they haven't peeled up off the bed. Wouldn't buy again.

Very Good for this price (Clear filament)

I bought this but i got the clear version. I like it. Easy to print. Maybe a little bit acting like a moistured filament when u use retraction. If its poppin just go lower hotend temp or turn off the retraction.
I print it with Anet A8 and with Mk8 extruder on 235°C hotend temp and 90°C hotbed. First layer 245°C and 100°C, it gives a very nice surface.
