TURNIGY continues to lead the way in compact AC battery chargers with the ACCUCELL S60.
This unit has been designed to balance charge battery packs up to 4S and has more than enough capacity too, with a 60W maximum charging current of 6A and a discharge current of 2A. It has a high-performance micro processor that controls charging and discharging and is suitable for use with all current battery types including LiPo, Lilon, LiFe, NiCd, iHM, PB and the new generation LiHV with a high end voltage of 4.35V.
TURNIGY knows that safety is paramount around battery chargers and like all of their designs the Accucel S60 has many safety features including terminal voltage control, automatic charging current limit, capacity limit, temperature threshold and processing time limit, built in to minimise the risk of overload/overcharging.
The free “Charge Master” software gives you unparalleled ability to operate the S60 charger through your computer. You can monitor pack voltage, cell voltage, resistance and other data during the charging process and view charging data in real-time graphs.
“Charge Master” will prove to be a valuable tool for monitoring battery performance. All you need do is to download the software to your PC and connect a USB cable between the charger and your PC.
So if you are looking for a charger or are thinking of upgrading your old Accucel then the S60 is definitely the charger for you.

I required a good AC/DC charger and this is a great Charger. Have used many in the past and This charger isnt hard to operate,it is also very accurate in its readings.Had No trouble connecting it to my PC and whilst charging you get a good look at each cell whilst its charging, the charger picked up on two of my Lipo batterings that they both have 1cell down.Recovered the voltage and restored my lipos, all you need to do is DownLoad "Charge Master 2" from any download site install and enjoy monitoring your batterys- Ime going to give this charger a 5/5 Rateing as its great value for money, its simplicity and the Additional features that you dont get with any other Charger for such a low Budget priced Charger-You will not be dissapointed with your purchase.Have used mainly a B6 AC-DC charger and initially bought this for a friend, who was new to RC modelling. It is too complex for beginners with too many settings and adjustments and doesn't save default of what you were charging last time. For those who know how to charge the right batteries at the correct settings it is very versatile and informative as well as being solidly built. At first the buttons were not contacting to the point that I couldn't get it working. After repeatedly pushing buttons hard, they then started to work and are looser now. I gave old B6 charger to newbie and kept this for myself and find it charges well.Brilliant charger. Same menu structure as most other chargers and can easily charge 5A into a LiPo which is all I need. Has simple balance connections and lots of extra featuresJuly, 2016.
NiMH has now been changed back to 6-8 cells. There IS a workaround. I made an adapter with 2 diodes in series, I used 3A ones between 2 XT60's. Now the charger has an additional 1.6V (at 1A) at its terminals and will charge 4 and 5 cell packs. Obviously some displayed figures also show this, so the adapter should only be used when charging 4 and 5 cells. They have now changed the number of NiMH and NiCd in the specs that can be charged from the original 6 to 8 cells, to 1 to 6, presumably after my lengthy communication with them. Unfortunately, no one has told my chargers of this change. They still appear to be limited to 6 to 8 cells. According to the "system menu" in my chargers, they are both: Version "HW: 1.00 SW: 1.01". Perhaps there has been an upgrade in the last few days?
Has anyone managed to charge other than 6 to 8 NiMH cells and if so, what version Numbers.Be very afraid. Read the specs VERY CAREFULLY. This charger can ONLY charge 6 to 8 cell NiMh or NiCd batteries. This means that they can't charge your common receiver packs of 4 and 5 cell NiMh batteries.
In fact, this TURNIGY charger can only charge ONE out of NINE TURNIGY NiMh batteries advertised as "in stock" on this website.
Yes, it is cheap, but make sure you read ALL OF THE FINE PRINT in the specs, before buying as there is very limited customer service after purchase.
Be also aware that not all the specs are correct. for example, the "safety timer range is NOT limited to 120 minutes.
