The ActionCam Inline gimbal is designed to work with a small action type camera, such as the GoPro. The gimbal has an inline layout instead of a hanging design so its prefect for mounting on the front of a “Spider” type of Quad, such as our DeadCat Sk450. The ActionCam gimbal is servo driven, so most flight controllers can directly control the stabilization, So no need for a fancy gimbal controller. The gimbal includes a ball style vibration isolation mount and hardware for easy mounting.

Specs:
Weight: 58g
Size:91x 98x 32mm

**Needs 1 Micro-Size and 1 mid-size servo, not included**

Cheap and cheerful but functional

Nov 03, 2019

Very similar to the larger servo gimbal from HK but the slightly smaller size is welcome.
As with this type of gimbal in general, the results are not on a par with a good brushless unit. The gimbal always lags behind the quad's movement slightly when manouevers are fast or jerky. Don't know if faster servos could improve performance but my cheap units are slow to react and not very precise. I find flying steady and smooth produces a reasonably good result.
Construction is simple and the unit can connect directly to the gimbal output chanels on the Naza FC and adjusted in Naza assistant for the throw and alignment to get the camera pointing as wanted and reacting to the quad movements.
All in all a good and cheap option if funds are tight.

Low cost, with the quality matching the price

Half of the screws included in the kit were unusable, obviously lacking any kind of quality control. I barely had access with the screwdriver to some of the screws, the designer didn't really keep in mind that the individual pieces will be assembled with tools and the instructions cold have been a little more detailed. Despite these drawbacks it works fine so far and it didn't leave a big hole in my pocket either.

One of the pieces was bent. Attaching the larger servo to the forward part of the gimbal was difficult.

Nice inexpensive mount for those who have some spare servos on hand. A tad large for my current frame, but for those who have something like a DeadCat it would be perfect.

Simple servo based gimbal. Works well enough, fast servos work best. Could use better instructions, I had to assemble 3 times before I got everything spaced correctly to mount up.

Some minor quality problems prevented a five star review. Two nuts meant to hold the roll servo in place had absolutely no threads and I had to hammer straighten out two of the stamped parts. The holes for the bearing and the tilt servo were bent and bulged from the stamping process. Easy fix but why should I have to? After getting it together it seems to work great with my Multiwii Pro FC.
