Bigger than expected!

It's actually 700mm x 1000mm instead of 500mm x 1000mm. I was very happy when I discovered it :) More is better!

Brilliant foam for building wings. be aware that there is no paper covering on it, but that doesn't matter as much if you're using tape. Much lighter than paper covered foamboard I used before!

This is similar to Depron. Very light and brittle. If bent more than slightly, will snap clean in halves. With one side covered with light wing or packing tape you can bend it any way you want. For strong applications I put two sheets together with double-sided tape, this way it is strong and stiff. This foam is not suitable for repair work, but absolutely perfect for scratch built. Seriously, here in AU, there is not much better stuff for this price.

I do a lot of building and had really high hopes for the new HK foam unfortunately after using it for a few weeks I cannot recommend it at all
Its much too soft and floppy for most things and even rolling is not great.
I do hope Hobby King take a look at these reviews and do something about it or they will be having lots of disappointed customers
I did a full revue of this compared to Depron and MPF if anyone is interested http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2594455&pp=30&page=2

So after receiving my first box. It is slightly bendier than Depron, but it is easy to work with. No visible grain, or preference to crack. You will need to cover the open side on a tight bend, but that is the same as depron. It is just like depron, but again it is not as stiff.

As long as you support large areas with CF spars, pallet strapping or such, it will work out fine. My first plane from this box is currently still under construction, but it is looking great. Will i order another, Yes. but @ 20 sheets, it might be a little while before i do :) . Great value for money. Well done HK.

Tony.

edges will be somewhat jaggered by the shipping (can be expected) but I had some sheets where the layers separated so it was bubbled, and therefore useless.
