Remove heatshrink!

Like Lyle said, you need to cut the heat shrink off - at least from the USB connector part. Otherwise it won't go deep enough into computer's USB socket and is not connected. Bad design, but otherwise working component. It is using CP201x drivers from Silabs website.

Good tool but...

Mine would not connect until...I cut about 1/4 inch off the heat shrink that fits over the USB connector. The heat shrink prevented the USB plug from fitting properly into the USB socket on the computer. After the little mod everything worked fine.

Tool won't fit

Beware...mine would not connect until....I cut back the heat shrink over the USB connecter.
The heat shrink was too long to allow the USB plug to fit into the USB socket on the computer.
Everything worked fine after the little mod.

Probably good but i cant use it. I have follow all the steps i have found on tab "files" but i dont know where to find the firmware. Probably veru good material but veyr poor literature.

tiny but very important. if you have afro esc this is recommended to have latest flash on you esc

Very simple and easy to use tool that works well. Its very cheap and works flawlessly with the afro esc's. I have used them on the 20a slim and 30a without any problems. I think they should work with any esc that has a simonk bootloader, but I have not tested to verify this. This is a little simpler than using an arduino as ISP to program an esc, and especially so if you do not directly solder the esc so you can still use the servo leads to plug directly into the programmer.
