Quality is OK and manufacturing quality of this esc is good, there are some minor inconveniences with arming, since sometimes 1 motor seems to fail to arm at random, but those all are minor problems. The big problem is this - this ESC is designed to be in the center of copter and has the same mounting pattern as flight controllers, and most frames only has 1 FC mount sport. So natural solution would seem to mount ESC and FC on top of each other, but that causes a problem - since they are so close together, FC falls within the ESC magnetic field generated from powering the motors, and that magnetic field messes up FC's sensors.
To sum up - everything is fine with this ESC, if your frame has a spot to mount it and that mount sport is not the same you use to mount your FC.Great module for sub-250mm mini quads.I'm using mine on a ZMR180 frame and it flies beautifully. Having a single module that mounts under the flight controller (I used nylon spacers to stack them) makes for a very quick and neat build.
Do take note of the slight overhang of the board past its mounting holes. This made the board too large for a 150mm quad frame I wanted to use it for, so I'd love to see a 12A version of this board with the same dimensions as a Naze32 or SP Racing EVO.Just received my afro race spec 20a quattro esc. The first thing i mentioned when i took a good look at it are the really thiny wires for the power supply. I immediately desoldered them and soldered thicker wires in places. I also flashed it with BLheli in the same time. The type of esc that i chose in the menu to flash was AFRO ESC 20A MULTI. I couldn't find this anywhere so i took the shot. After everything was mounted i took it for a maiden flight and i'm happy with my first impression. I like this esc cause i stacked it under my flightcontroller and the arms are very clean now without esc's there.I have this esc my only issue so far is that there are no programming instructions. I would like to see a manual on how to program this esc. I have a turnigy programming card however that did not work. All of my motors are not spinning up and my motors are getting really hot.
