Perfect lighting set. I have only one problem. The landing light blinking slowly. If the HK modding the fw, for example one mode, when landing, the landing light turn on... It will fantastic
Simple to setup and use, look great but length of wire needs to be lengthened from 80cm to 1000cm.
Like the kit, but how do you stick to one flashing pattern???
every time i turn them on or off the pattern sequence changes.
No instructions with lights.
not good led for the price... different light power
Not a bad little set.
Plug it into your switched rx channel and flick away until you find the mode you want.
The plugs are as follows. ( the 3 strobes are a mystery until you see the sequences )
1 Right wingtip strobe
2 Landing light
4 Left wingtip strobe
5 Left wing red
6 Landing light
7 Nose beacon
8 Right wing green
Couple of negitives.
It doesn't remember which mode you prefer so you need to flick your switch every time to get to the right one. It'd be far better if you used the switch to turn on and off and used another method to set the mode which it goes back to each time. This acts more like those cheap LED christmas lights.
The landing lights cycle in most modes.
I'm sure you're not going to be raising and lowering your gear every few seconds to suit. it'd be far better if these were left on to be either switched with a remote switch on your UC or a seperate feed from the RX.
However for 9 quid this unit is cheap and the LED's bright.
With a simpe two quid microswitch tucked in the UC bay i'll have the landing lights fed from the red and green tip lights and switched as the gear raises and lowers.
Heres a simple vid of the layout.
It is nice lights for this price. They flash really well. I used them for 3 flight and still they work well. But they are not good for big planes. Their lights are not shinny enough. Of course they are good for their size. But don't buy this product f you plan to use it on your 40-60 size plane. Get bigger one.
Very good quality in relation to price. Bright LEDs. The cable lengths are sufficient for small planes. I have my Cessna 182, 1400mm wingspan, equipped with them.
These lights look good on the ground and probably if your flying at night. I'm a newbie to flying and bought them to help keep my orientation with the plane in the air at a distance. They do not work for that. If the plane is more than about 30 metres away from you, you can't see the lights. I have (had, it is now smashed in a million pieces, not the lights fault.. mine) a Boomerang 60 and there is no way to put the the lights on the back end of the wings or the tail. They are just to thin. If you want it for aesthetics, buy them, if you want it for orientation, don't.
Really nice light for the price. Much better then the Turnigy R/C LED Lighting System I ordered as well. I can pick through the modes easily. I wish the had a better light sequence for the wing strobes and navigation light. Great product though.
