Poor quality

Bought these for a 120 size warbird they worked on the bench. But on my first flight they didn't work correctly they only partially cycled down.
I can only agree with the other reviews that these units have inbuilt weak points.

Absolute rubbish - very notchy the first time I tried and one has failed already. Only operated it a couple of times in a new airframe. For the money, I'd expect something that works for a bit. Heed the other user reviews and stay well away.

I have just purchased a replacement electric retract unit. It is to replace one that has malfunctioned from new. These units are housed in solid alloy but are let down by the internal gearing which is sized for a wrist watch not u/c gear.
From the motor to the worm screw, 6 gears are used to get the necessary reduction. The 4th gear has shed half the gear teeth making the whole unit unusable.
The worm screw thread size is too small and the trunnion or pin that runs on this screw has been drilled on a slight angle that binds up the tread when under load.
The electric over load should have prevented the reduction gear damage but failed to do so.
Until the manufactures come up with a more robust designed gearbox and self aligning trunnion it's a unit to stay away from.
