This is the new Light Weight DPS 70mm 5 blade Ducted Fan unit. This system sports a 4000kv high torque brushless outrunner and is designed for 4s Lipoly batteries.

Don't be fooled though - Light weight doesn't mean low power - This unit packs 900 Watts of punch along with 1.35Kg of thrust!

Featuring a light weight version of the 4 stator alloy DPS fan shroud along with a dynamically balanced 5 blade impeller, this unit will offer the advantages of the other DPS series fans but provides options for models where the added weight of a full DPS unit may induce center of gravity issues (i.e Models with the fan unit behind the C of G).

Max Power: 900w (continuous)

I have one of these in a RCLander F9F-2 Panther and it's like a rocket. Smooth and powerful and good on a 4S-40C-4000 lipo for about 4 minutes. Puts any other 4 cell motor to shame. It's even better than a 5 cell setup I've had. One recommendation is to get them to the USA Warehouses quickly so I can buy more of them without the hassle of International entanglements.

OOdles of power and balanced to perfection but it does like to eat your Lipo's. Draws 69 Amps with Turnigy Nanotech 3000mah 25 to 50c 4s Lipo.

Excellent EDF unit, smooth running and exactly 1.3kg thrust as described. Don't forget to buy the strap mount, only about 3 quid. Used on my Durafly Sea Vixen with an HK 80A ESC and standard Turingy 3300 4S. Gives 6 mins to 25pcnt battery remaining. You could go vertical till you loose sight!

Well made, well balanced, light unit. Well assembled (lock tite on every screw).
I install it in the HK Zephyr to replace the stock unit. Im running it one 3S 3600mAh 40C.
Perform well came down warm and give me 10 mph extra speed and a litttle more trust on take off.

I use this fan in a RC lander F-16.

With a turnigy 60A ESC and a A-spec 3200mah 65-130c it pulls 64A and delivers about 900watts, so the specs seem right on the money here. Static thrust is about 1.4 kg on a fresh charge. The combo flys great. Fan is really quite too! Makes a nice whoosh .

I guess this also due to the duct design and the milar thrust tube I use.

Will buy again. Did I luck out on this one will see?

ECS timing is set to low to achieve the 64Amps.

Setting it to high results in 75Amps @ 1100 watts, and will probably kill your motor.

I use this on my FT Viggen. Unlimited vertical on a 4cell. Best EDF for the price

So far so good, fan came really balanced, mines pushing 1080watts @ 74.9 amps Peak and dies down to 947 watts 68.5a. Running the new 4s Nano-Tech A-Spec G2 was worried about running it @ higher watts then the recommended 900, however two flights today and the motor was under 100Deg F each flight. Also added 30 seconds from the stock EDF I was running at less watts.

Took a couple of weeks to arrive from Hong Kong, which is fine. We'll made and all bolts tight. No attachment brackets as in the description, so I used a combination of expanding foam and epoxy to fix the unit in the airframe. This fan replaced the stock unit on my JP Corsair 2 which disintegrated. Seems to work well with http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12189. I estimate about a 50pcnt increase in thrust! very smooth running and the esc and fan combination still have the same endurance as the stock setup. Very pleased and recommend

Just fitted one of these to my durafly vampire and works very well, doesn't get hot and seems to be well balanced. Will post again after a few more runs, but so far very good
