The Assault 100 follows in the footsteps of its bigger brothers the Assault 450 series of helicopters. Despite it very small size it still retains the qualities of the 450 and is the pinnacle of micro helicopter technology at this present time. It is equipped with a highly refined flight control system and also features pirouette compensation technology making the Assault 100 one of the smoothest high performance micro helicopters on the market today.

One other feature which sets the Assault 100 aside from most of the other micro helicopters on the market is that it is fitted with 2 brushless motors, one for the main drive and one for the tail. This gives it incredible performance and longer battery life due to the efficiency of the motors.

From basic flight maneuvers through to aggressive 3D aerobatics the Assault 100 can do it all. It is the perfect solution for those that appreciate the power of the larger helicopters but want something to fly in a small space.

Robust engineering, high quality Dupont plastics and advanced carbon fiber composites make the Assault 100 an extremely strong little helicopter. It will withstand most knocks and bangs and will come back for more, but if you do have a crash which results in you wanting spare parts then HobbyKing™ have plenty of spares available (see under "Spare Parts" tab).

This Assault 100 is supplied with a Turnigy RF module that is compatible with Futaba, JR and Walkera 6ch radios that have a trainer (DSC) socket. The RF module is supplied with an internal battery, connector leads for the 3 types of radio and a USB charging lead. The module is extremely simple to use, plug the appropriate lead into the transmitter, select the radio make with the simple push button and you are ready to bind the transmitter to the helicopter. Some of the radios will supply power to the module, if so then the on/off switch on the module is left off. If the radio does not supply power to the module then the power switch is turned on , then the module will run on the internal battery which is supplied.

Great and works OK with Aurora 9 and Turnigy RF module

Feb 20, 2017

Bought to learn collective pitch on rather than risking trashing my 450s. Using the Turnigy RF module with a Hitec Aurora and works great. Have set up small throws to keep tame as I'm a beginner. RF module plugs into trainer port and requires channels to be set Aileron NOR - Elevator REV - Throttle Rev - Rudder REV - Gyro NOR - Pitch REV. Made training undercarriage with 4 polystyrene balls and kebab sticks. Flys OK but needs expo on rudder to increase sensitivity to overcome deadband area. Very pleased with it, as its stable and can handle a breeze OK. Great value purchased when on offer at cyber sale time. Bought 2, so have one for spares. Strengthened main gear by adding plastic collar around D section as per others have done.

I thought I would give it a shot to break into the cp market moving up from
a blade 120 helicopter but I am finding it flimsy and finicky to tune pitch curve
can't get it in the groove. Blows main gears off in a second and just not for
learning better off going big people spend your bucks on a bigger machine

bad main motor bearing. You'll have to replace them with good quality ones. Don't attempt to fly it with HK's bearings or you'll crash your bird or it may cause damages to the main motor.

The best micro helicopter ever tried! This helicopter can be aggressive if you like 3D flight but it is also recommended for new pilot thanks to its stability provided by the flybarless system. The Radio module works also with TARANIS (both normal and plus version) and in the "files" section there is the .eep file that works for all radio mode (1,2,3,4). The flight time last about 8 minutes and a half but it depends on your thumbs!

It is one of the best buying decisions I made. I have been learning helis on the sim and I can decently fly multirotors, really wanted to have some time with helis. And this did for me. I configured it for scale flying. Almost disabled the negative pitch and flying on low rates. It is fast, responsive and great flyer. Had about a dozen flights now, I crashed more than 20 times in the grass and once on pavement. Only bent the linkages. It flew great right after straightening them back. It has plenty of power and I see myself developing my heli flying skills. The flight time is 7 to 8 min with my style of flying. However I recommend keep it to under 6 min for safety. Also I recommend to grab some spares for reassurance and an extra battery or two is must to have 2 to 3 flights. All in all love the little monster.

It is a great little screamer 3D helicopter. Has plenty of power and flies great.
But after only 5 flights my tail has stopped working. After inspecting all parts, I have discovered that Silabs F330 chip on ESC is dead. And I dont have old esc with silabs chip to replace it and program blheli firmware on it.
Now I have to wait for new board to come. Supose I had bad luck.

This little heli is well build and has lots of power to deal with. For now i`m using 65 pcnt throttle only to get familar with it. Had to balance the blades, and now it flies pretty stable for such a little beast. But don`t think it`s easy to fly, you need experience because it`s very agile. Got it today and until now i had 3 flights with it. One of the best things for such a micro-heli is the soft-start feature that is pre-programmed in the ESC.
