The Assault 450 DFC - Everything a Ready to Fly helicopter should be.
We set out from the beginning to offer our customers a completely ready to fly helicopter that was setup the way you want it right out of the box. Coming as standard with digital, metal gear servos all the way around, a highly efficient brushless power system, the precision 3D-H V2 3-axis flybarless controller and the fully programmable OrangeRX T-SIX radio system, the Assault 450 is not short on quality gear!
Following the current trends, the Assault 450 features a DFC (Direct Flight Control) rotor head which provides crisp, precise flight control with a very low parts count and easy setup. The DFC rotor head design brings the rotor disc closer to the main frame, moving the center of gravity closer to the middle of the heli. This provides better flight characteristics and more agility allowing for the ultimate in extreme 3D flight performance!
The Assault 450 is decked out with aluminum parts which other manufacturers normally sell as upgrades. The main frame is constructed from lightweight yet extremely rigid carbon fiber. The main shaft is supported by dual bearing blocks which are also constructed from aluminum. The tail assembly is all alloy and features a dually supported tail-pitch slider providing slop-free, precision tail control.
The included OrangeRX T-SIX transmitter is a fully programmable 2.4Ghz radio system which can be used for both helicopters and fixed wing models. It features a whole host of programmable options as well as a 10 model memory and backlit LCD display. Best of all it's compatible with our full range of OrangeRX DSM2 compatible receivers (and any other DSM2 compatible receiver). The OrangeRX T-SIX is a feature packed full function radio system which provides excellent value unlike the basic, non-programmable transmitters found with most RTF models.
The Assault 450 arrives completely Ready to Fly including the fully programmable OrangeRX T-SIX 2.4Ghz radio system, a 3S 11.1V 2200mAh Turnigy lipoly battery and lipoly balance charger. Simply charge the battery, power up the model and you're ready to fly!
