well i just bought one and the gyro doesn't work on the collective pitch so now i get to wait 2 months for hobby king to fix it. to tell you the truth hobby king has done nothing but turn me off this hobby. maybe i'll take up knitting at least then after 2 month i'll have a blanket instead of a defective part replaced. so thanks again hobby king quality assured!!!!

Super cool machine, this is way better then any regular quad copter, it fly's just like my trex 500 and yet it is a quad. I love how smooth it is in flight right out of the box!

Had this machine for a while now and can honestly say I would never buy it again.
It is a piece of half baked rubbish. The flight controller has a mind of its own, there is no manual for flight controller, no soft start on esc (no handbook for esc). This machine break belts every five minutes without hitting the ground. The belt quality is rubbish.
This machine is just a money pit. I would love to get a refund because I certainly did not get my monies worth. That's not going to happen. Hobbyking lift your game. Is that the best you can do ????

Had my reaper for a while now and can honestly say this is the most half baked piece of rubbish I have ever come across. The belts last about 5 minutes, the flight controller has a mind of its own and generally flies like a POS. I will never spend that much money on a model from Hobbyking again. No Handbook for flight controller, no esc instructions, no soft start what the hell. What did I pay ?

There is a big problem in quality or design on the belts. its lifetime is 10 minutes. I am very unhappy with this problem.

During the ten minutes I could fly I liked it . I hope HobbyKing solve the problem of quality in the belts.

I purchased a second reaper because I could not get the old one to fly correctly after crashing, once I got the new one I checked the pitches of the blades they were all different so I set the old one up and it flew great, I sold the old one and started to fly the new one, well it has an issue with belts it eats them I have gone through 20 belts in one week only five flights, something is wrong with it, wish I had kept the old one, and you cat buy new belts as they are out of stock, second run must be lower quality that the first run, watch out

Excellent collective quad, I personally added a large power-cap to my RX to prevent brownouts, as ESC BEC isn't stated what amps it was at, the motor KV is still a mystery too. Unlike the pics here, they seem to have put some reflective tape on the blades too.

Comes with a few allen-keys, 1.5, 2 and 2.5mm, a small slotted screwdriver to changing the gains on the FC, and a 2nd pinion, not sure if its a spare or a different size.

Packed very well, in a large box as its a large quad. Unlike some RTR's ive gotten in the past, this is a very good finish, all the servos were at 90, and the links were all the right length out the box, the gains on the FC are all in the middle by default too, and its perfectly flyable with that. The amount of slop in the craft was very low, just a small amount in the rotor heads but that's to be expected.

Spooling it up, there was no visible vibrations, and it was rather quiet for a quad of its size, but the speed the blades spin at was quite high.

Flying it was relatively easy, unfortunately when i was flying it, it was a windy day, so i learned unlike a conventional quad that just gets pushed around by wind, this one bobs up and down like a micro heli as well as getting pushed around. I didn't time the total flight time, but after about 8-9 mins, my 1800mah 40c cells were just about at 3.7v so basically flat.

I recieved my reaper yesterday and imediatly went to make it work.

I planned to use a Turnigy 9Xr with FRsky module and reciever and made a little document for the users who want to know how to set this up on a 9XR it should be up on the file page soon , coming back to the reaper it had been packed exelent so it has no damage from shipping so that's a good thing , the building quality seems really good to me and the few flghts i have made with this where really fun in stunt mode you really can do some crazy things with this machine :-) , I can recomment this thing to evryone just make sure you read a few things about throttle and pitch curves before starting to use it otherwise it can be really dangerous if you don't know what you are doing , in my little manual i have set it up on the tree way switch first position is normal flying mode just like a quad second position is stunt mode the motor speeds up to 80 to 100pcnt and you control the pitch with the throtlle stick and the third postion is full throttle and also pitch control on the throlle stick , so just to simplefy 1 is safe 2 is some lost fingers if you don't know what your doing and 3 is one bloody mess if you can't fly :-) I hope i helpt some of you with this and if you still don't understand it maybe this machine isn't the one for you , happy flying evryone.

Je n'arrive pas le faire fonctionner avec une Futaba T8FG et un recepteur orange FASST
8 ch. Le SAV ne rpond pas ma demande de schma de cablage pour ma radio.
Conclusion : j' en tais 140 commandes en 3 ans, mais apparemment a ne doit pas tre assez pour HOBBYKING pour avoir une rponse.
NE L 'ACHETEZ PAS si vous devez utiliser une autre radio que celle du mode d'emploi.

Well packed. Received in good condition. Quality Build, very impressed. I have only flown it twice with two 3 cells in series (i dont recommend this setup especially with two 2200 but that is all i had at the time as I am waiting on my 6cell batteries to arrive). It is very locked in without any tuning needed. Handles wind well and is easy to fly if you are use to flying on gyros only. Can't wait to start doing 3D with it. Good job hobbyking.
