No underside protection and integrated rudder!

The price is good for what you get, but unlike the $100 floats for my Bush Mule, there is no scuff protection on the underside or seperate rudder servo. The long rudder extension from the tail wheel assembly looks terrible and is a hazard when moving the plane around… why not put in an integrated rudder servo and rudder on the floats?

They are a nice set of floats and easy to fit.
However the shipping cost to the UK was HORREDOUS - cost more than the floats and not obvious at point of purchase!!

Nice floats, fit as advertised and work great. Wish they had a hard plastic bottom or at least a hard keel to prevent scrape damage when beaching or in transit to the lake.

Avios Grand Tundra Float Set

The float set was just a foam set with no protection on the underside from running aground. Maybe some added clear packing tape would help that issue. Wish the water rudder was mounted on the float instead of hanging down from the rudder. But still a good price for the set.

Made from quality materials and fitted easily. Made up into the best floatplane I've ever flown. Super smooth take-offs and landings with no ingress of water into the cooling holes in the fuselage. The wheeled version of the Grand Tundra is very impressive and with floats it gives even more flying pleasure. Good one HK/Avios.

Unbedingt mitbestellt wenn ein geeignetes Gewässer in der Nähe ist. Wer an Land landen kann, kann mit der Grand Tundra auch auf dem Wasser starten und landen.

Good Floats - too expensive

- The floats work just fine. Water spray is minimal. No spray hits the propeller. Airplane sits well on the boats and the water rudder is effective.
- The floats are way over-priced for what they are
- There are no assembly instructions, but it is reasonably intuitive and straight forward
