Quality foam with every piece of hardware required supplied in named bags. Landing gear not included.
Caution, check every panel join and remove sticky tape before gluing. There is a panel in the nose gear bay that must be glued.
Over priced, not much more to purchase the PNP version.

Basic kit

This is the basic, foam aircraft with no internal parts. I thought that I was ordering the entire, ready to fly unit, but that was my mistake. I had crashed a previous ARF kit, so I just transferred the ESC, motor, servos and retracts to the new kit.

Good For Parts

The kit quality is good but to complete it you will need items that cannot be purchased through HK thus making the model good for parts only. For instance, the canopy latch is not in the kit, the nose gear metal support is not included as well BUT can be purchased and should be included. Little incidentals that most kits come with this does not.
I bought the "kit" version because I had a fan unit and esc to install in it. In retrospect I should of bought the ARF because I would have been flying it by now instead of the kit now sitting in my closet because I have now lost interest in it.
I have now posted a "wanted" thread on one of the RC forums in hopes to get the needed parts to complete the model hopefully in the future. So far no luck.
I would also hope HK posts this so that potential customers are aware of the shortcomings of this kit. I still would love to have the model but when I get the funds I will buy the ARF. I would like HK to give me a discount for a new ARF kit.

I mistakely orderd the kit version. I wanted the ARF version.
It needs servos, retracts, engine, ESC and some of them are out of stock. I will buy the ARF version.

Not enough of the right parts to make it a complete flyer i.e. canopy latch which you cannot buy, and metal nose gear support which should be included in the "kit" but isn't.

Avios Mig 17 kit version

As a kit version is not a good value. too many parts not included and not listed as spares. Nose gear on back order after notification of being back in stock. The ARF version would be a much better deal if available. I would buy one again.
