I bought this on the 10-06-15 what a load of rubbish would not take off from a well looked after grass strip.
just would not rotate. what a waste of money tried all different C rated batteries please dont wase you money on this item even tried to hand launch but still would not fly. Oplace this is going and thats going in the bin.
Good looking plane if you wish to hand in your work shop.

- I wish I would have looked at the other warehouses that have this model in stock and read all the reviews, I would have saved myself some time and money! The package arrived and upon opening it up I was immediately shocked on how poorly the plane was shipped. I am not sure if this packaging is normal for HK planes, but the fuselage was wrapped in a paper thin piece of Styrofoam, same for the wings and other control surfaces. One piece of tape held them to the very thin cardboard box with no other protection. Luckily, nothing was damaged and all the pieces were there. One thing I noticed while putting this plane together was, the parts that were installed from the factory were either, secured poorly, not glued, or needed to be reinstalled. The instructions were okay as a reference, but if you had never built a model before you might have trouble. After the assembly was completed, the BAE HAWK looked good, but I felt the overall product was very cheap.

When I got it out for its maiden flight:
- I had a very long runway and perfect weather conditions, I did my pre-flight check, and pointed it down the runway. After I gave some throttle the Hawk struggled, even at full throttle it barely lifted off. I gave it some distance to pick up speed and made a very gradual left turn, I tried to gain some altitude and it struggled hard, and really showed how under powered it was

This is a beautiful model and assembles quickly. But.... it is too heavy to get off the ground at 5600 feet of elevation. I had a short takeoff run that I aborted. Then set up for a long takeoff run. The plane did not act like it was going to fly well, so I shut down the power and it ran off the end of the runway, ripping out the nose wheel in the process. I own and fly many planes, this one was disappointing. I may end up trying a 5S battery for extra thrust, but right now this plane is going to sit in the hanger for awhile while I build and fly other planes. I have generally had very good luck with Hobby King products, this is an exception.

Beau jet, bonnes finitions.

Bought this plane very poor build quality and overweight and under powered !! 1st flight only barely flew no power full throttle all the way and even then into wind struggled i managed to land heavy and minor damage,2nd flight took off into wind climbed away with effort esc cut out and cut back in several times then finally failed and crashed the plane is a write off im running stock setup with 14.8 v 35c lipo if you go for this plane change fan unit and esc i fly many jets and this was the most ive ever spent and the worst experience ive ever had gutted!!!
