Thank you to everyone who participated in April's edition of HobbyKing’s Crash Cash. The multitude of entries we received was tremendously amusing and at the same time, nostalgic. 1) Where are you from and how did you get into the hobby?
"I'm from Melbourne, Australia and I started getting into flying RC places as a teenager."
2) What’s the story behind your RC model and the crash?
"The Durafly Vampire was my first ever RC jet so I was super excited. I had a successful take-off and flew around for about a minute before I started getting too comfortable and did a slow sharp turn which stalled the plane and crashed it pretty hard. I took it home and immediately ordered another one haha. "
3) What's your favorite RC model and why?
"So far, probably the EFXtra Racer. So fun to fly and so fast, sounds amazing and looks so good. Great plane - highly recommend!"
4) What is the best part of being an RC pilot and why?
"It's a challenging and high-stakes hobby, so when you have a good flight it feels very rewarding, and it's extremely peaceful."
