Here is your Winner for July:

Michael Burian with his FMS Sbach 342

1) Where are you from and what's the story behind the crash?

"I am from Illinois. The story of this crash was I found that the plane was very nose heavy which was most likely affecting performance. So I put some steel weights on the tail to even it out. However, that must have messed with the telemetry of the radio. Because after takeoff, my radio said: "RF signal lost". The plane lost control and nosed into the ground. The motor shaft most likely pierced the LiPo battery, thus starting the fire."

2) What's your favorite RC model and why?

"I have many favorite models but my go-to plane to fly right now is a 52" Extra 330 made of balsa and ply."

3) What's the best part of being an RC pilot and why?

"The best part about being an RC pilot is the kinds of people and planes you get to meet."
