Here is the Crash Cash Winner for June 2022:

Milan Hrk

1) Where are you from and how did you get into the hobby?

"I am Slovak, a small but beautiful country Slovakia in the middle of Europe. I fell in love with RC airplanes when I saw an attached model flying in the schoolyard. I was still a boy. But I prefer to pilot free models."

2) What’s the story behind your RC model and the crash?

"I don't like to remember that story. S-Bach from RC Pilot, 1800mm, with 30ccm gasoline, I bought it damaged, repaired, and flew. Many flights and successful landings. During the flight, the model lost contact with the Transmitter, Taranis 9X. The engine shut down and the model went uncontrolled to the ground. After arriving at the model, the batteries remained connected, but the receiver behaved as if it had no signal. After restarting the receiver, the connection worked again. I don't understand why it fell out."

3) What's your favorite RC model and why?

"My favorite RC Model? Hard question. All who fly :). I have an A-10 Freewing 2x80mm EDF, a LearJet2x64 EDF, several smaller ones, gliders, and an indoor model of my own construction ... and I love them all :) I will answer differently, I mostly fly with MIG -29, my own design from depron, parkfly category. Just go to the train behind the house and I'm flying ;) My dream is to design, build and fly a MIG-23 with EDF. I am currently looking for a model where I will use the engine from the accident, which remained undamaged."

4) What is the best part of being an RC pilot and why?

"Another difficult question :) Who hasn't tried it can't describe the feeling when you control the plane, the tension before landing, and the amount of endorphins after landing. What's gratifying is that 99% of RC airplane pilots could fly a real airplane, but only 1% of real airplane pilots can fly an RC airplane. By the way, the preparation and maintenance of the RC model is also perfect relaxation."
