Thank you to everyone who participated in March's edition of HobbyKing’s Crash Cash. The multitude of entries we received was tremendously amusing and at the same time, nostalgic. We are sure everyone can relate to this bittersweet experience that is low-key, which makes the hobby that much more ENJOYABLE!

1) Where are you from and how did you get into the hobby?
"I am from Mesa Arizona, My father used to take us to RC events when we were little, that’s where the seed was planted and grew till I have no more room in my garage (hanger)"
2) What’s the story behind your RC model and the crash?
"The Plane was an E-Flite Carbon-Z Cub. I was trying to get the CG so I shoved the battery as far as it would go to the front. After that, the canopy cover would not go on, so I thought no big deal, the velcro I strapped it down with will be enough (NOT), I got her up in the air, and within a few minutes I lost all control of it! So down it went and obliterated itself!! Well looking farther out, we see smoke, one guy said, 'that’s your battery pack, it fell out'. So I ran out there and just watched itself burn out."
3) What's your favorite RC model and why?
"I think my favorite would be a Tek-Sumo Wing, I put a gyro in it, I can buzz all over the air, and when I crash, it likes to bounce and not do much damage."
4) What is the best part of being an RC pilot and why?
"The best part is all the relationships you create with others, if I don’t feel like flying, I go to the field and can pass the time just talking with my flying mates."
