So, I have not recently purchased this product. The 3 I did purchase around a year ago all had issues. All 3 had the polarity swapped. I noticed after I plugged in a battery and it became instantly hot. After resolving the issue I attempted to use them. Honestly the weight of the product and the application (1 cell lipo) is pathetic. There are many other options for less or a little more.

1 of the esc's failed after a short amount of time and during flight. Unfortunately it was in a balsa model I built so the accident caused quite a bit of damage.

Ignorantly I swapped the esc with another like unit. It had issues with the throttle wavering at max. I tried reprogramming and different batteries, a different motor and receiver and the problem persisted. It was trashed.

I attempted to run a 2cell off the final esc just to see if it could be salvaged, no dice.

Don't waste your money.

Well this speed controller is working pretty good actually! BE CAREFUL that with a standard receiver you have to change the plug and be sure that the polarity that goes to your receiver is the right one.The motor i use is turnigy 1220 Brushless Inrunner Motor 10300kv http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9068 with a prop 2.5x1.0 in a small plane.Always using 1 cell battery

PLUG WIRES ARE INVERTED (RED = BLACK - BLACK = RED)

I've smoked one of these ESC in 15 sec. and the lipo was very very close of explosion.

I'm very angry, HK ! This is a big safety fault !

Pfffff.... thanks for warning, guys!
Plugged it to battery and for testing - ran extremely hot immediately. Changed the pins at the plug (nor red is going to red/ of battery and black is going to blach/-), and now it works fine.
Didnt damage anything, because I was aware of the problem (read the reviews here).

Thanks again!

I've just received this controller, it still come wired backwards. I simple reversed the red and black wires. But it isn't work properly. Does anybody know, how I can program it? I think here is the problem because of wrong timing. Motor start running at the 30-40% of throttle, work in a half of power and sometimes stops and so on. I don't know what I have to do...

Be careful, the cable was inverted. To be sure your ESC have inverted cables, just use a multi-meter and see if there are continuie between to black or to red. The correct is to blacks must have continue.

Blue Arrow uses the same Pc board for their BS-6D and BS-8D. The capacitor on the BS-8D makes the wiring correct. But On the BS-6D the red wire is on the wrong side of the board. What is plus on the board (on the BS-6D) is really the negative side. So, as of Sept.8,2010 the wiring on the BS-6D is wrong! I cooked one as well (another one gets fried **- FIX IT HK!!!!)
