Larger than I expected, (should have read dimensions closer) takes pretty decent video, better than the $35 wing cam, not sure how it compares to the more expensive wingcam as I don't own one.

Beware this camera is not very good quality. A blueray 1080p is 24 mega bits per second (MBPS) where as this camera is 1080pS. It says this in the DVsetup options. Therefore the quality of the video is 3 times less than what you see from a blue ray film please see below. You can find this info searching google. Hobbyking need to state this in their description! Other than that great little camera for your money.

AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920x1080/30p
AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920x1080/30p
AVCHD PS (9Mbps) 1920x1080/30p

Tip: noise increase as the CMOS sensor gets hot. So for higher quality pictures, turn the unit on, take one picture and turn the unit off right away. This applies to all small sensor camera, not just this one.

Only the 2nd partition is used to store data;

- Only 50 degree viewing angle;

Bottom line:
Overall a good purchase, but if you don't need 60fps, A/V out, motion detection, then other models are preferable.

Plus that you won't get with other low to mid end cameras:
- Can operate with a TRUE Class 4 (4 MB/s write) Micro SD;
- Small video files since use latest AVC (h.264) codec rather than MJPEG;
- 720p @ 60fps; 1080p @ 30fps;
- Motion activated;
- On field removable battery, but seems hard to find it on spare parts market;
- NTSC/PAL audio and video output at same time as recording HD on micro SD, makes it a candidate for FPV;
- Up to 32GB micro SD;
- Includes a mounting hole (standard camera screw).

Minus:
- Small sensor: generate a lot of noise in low light conditions;
- 2 always ON pixels on mine, visible only on dark pictures;
- Motion detector may be triggered by change of light intensity rather than actual motion, 3 sensitivity settings to try (L,M,H);
- Motion detector has an hysteresis on mine: harder to make it start but then won't stop recording until low to no light condition;
- Motion activated pictures: takes about 10 pictures in a row, spaced by 6s, total of 60 seconds;
- Motion activated video: continuous for 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes (programmable), even if motion stops;
- Config software only works on Windows XP;
- Requires to be mounted vertically;
- USB interface to read and write is slow: 3MB/s read (compared to >= 10MB/s read on micro SD PC card reader);
- Firmware creates two partitions on the micro SD:
- 1st: FAT, 12MB; 2nd: FAT32, 31.99GB;
Only the 2nd
