This stunning looking Yak 55 is a pure, mean, 3D machine! The superb Ultra-light construction, which features a sheeted spine fuselage for strength, keeps the flying weight minimal, couple this with a 30cc gas engine or Turnigy electric equivalent and you have unlimited vertical performance!

The wings and horizontal stabilizers are plug in for easy transport, the tailfeathers are not flat sheet but full aerofoil, the control surfaces are easily large enough for 3D maneouvers. Rudder is pull/pull and high quality ball linked control rods are used throughout for precision and reliability.

The pre-applied covering is glossy and of a very high standard, the superb colour scheme which is plain black on the underside, is ideal for orientation, especially once the included decal sheet has been applied. This is a high quality 3D model that is also an ideal everyday sport flyer when set up on low rates, either way, it's a real performer and a real looker!

I would encourage a RCG 30cc engine, super for this model, no need for a dle 30cc. I tried both engines and i rather the RCG30cc. Vertical climbs are easy with the RCG

Hi all, a super wonderful model for the price. My only issue with it is under the wings, it should be yellow as stated

Very nice model. Flies ok with the Turnigy 26cc gas engine and an 18x8 prop. Requires a fair bit of balast with this configuration though. It would probably benefit from the extra weight and power of a 30 cc engine.

The build was fairly straight forwards, however, the control rods for the ailerons and elevator required attention. Easily solved with a few lenghts of M3 stud.

Really nicely built plane, pretty light too.

Running Mintor 33cc (beautiful engine)

Carbon Mej 19x8

Carbon dolphinco Spinner

Hitec 7985mg on rudder

PowerHD HD-9110MG on elevator and aileron.

Miracle ARMS and H9 titanium turnbuckles.

Very happy with the build, color scheme is slightly different to pics but i prefer it, underside of wings is blue not yellow (so i added yellow checkers), only gripe is holes in fuse are not real tight around wings like in higher quality kits like gold wing etc
