Corona Synthesized Receiver 4Ch 72Mhz

Throw away your crystals, say goodbye to glitches! The new Corona synthesized receiver is here!
This unit will work with existing Synthesized transmitters or crystal transmitters. In fact the accuracy of this receiver will improve the performance of all 72mhz crystal transmitters.
The RP4S1 is the smallest and lightest synthesized system available today. This small size does not impact on reception quality or performance as this unit  has the longest range available from any Corona receiver plus a sensitivity greater than 2uV. Tests have shown the range to be more than 1 mile!

The new technology put into the synthesized series of Coron receivers is truely outstanding and will certainly make you think twice about upgrading to a more expensive 2.4GHz.
Take a look at Coronas website for more details;

Newbie to R/C, completely satisfied with performance and ease of use

Nov 28, 2016

I had no trouble locking on frequency to my old Futaba 4VF-FM transmitter. Very easy, got it on the first try and I am a real newbie to R/C. Perfect control with the model so far away I can barely make out what it's doing (model length is 30 inches / 750 mm). Works beautifully using HK ESC and LiPoly battery for power. No centering problems observed, and I am completely satisfied with performance and ease of use!

Have been using these receivers for over 3 years in various types of airplanes and all have operated as advertised. I have found that they will even discriminate other transmitters on the same frequency (channel). Have never had the centering problems that some others are having. Centering problems are more commonly servo problems.

I have these in all my planes that only require 4ch or less. I have never had centering problems (Thats the servos job anyways) and GREAT range. Very light and easy to fit into tight spaces since they are small as well.

The centering is somewhat bad, but since I'm using it on a micro model, I don't notice. The pins are pretty close together, but manageable. I'd pay ten dollars for this. Not 16.

Great little receivers binding the thing was a breeze. i have not had any centering problems with mine super precise and the range is great i have one of these little guys in my sailplane and my altimeter read at 3500ft when i landed. however i have had some problems, one receiver i received the pins that the servo plugs go into were lose for some reason? i was able to make it work again but i do not plan on unplugging anything anytime soon. so there are some quality issues but other then that they are great.

I have two of these units installed on home-built foam board aircraft. they binded well to my Futaba EX6A radio. I cannot report a single problem with either unit. For the price, compared to the Futaba units, these are almost as precise at a third of the cost. Use in <36" wingspan foamies is a no-brainer. They are extremely small and fit just about anywhere. I just wish they came with in a light-weight case for ease of mounting. Using hook and loop tape works well, and makes up for the lack of flat surface for mounting. But their light weight make them perfect for mini, mico, or any small frame with a total flying weight less than 1lb.

I will be purchasing more as I increase my collection of aircraft. However, my next step is to get a 6ch dual-conversion unit for a larger aircraft with more options.
