Hi great engine.
Used on a RC paraglider 2m2 with a 4s lipo 6500 mAh & a 9*7 pusher/puller prop.
Working well.
Main problem availability. It is more than 2 months that the product is not available ? Did you planned to refill ?

It is now more & more urgent to get it back for my next project.... RC Paraglider 2.5 m2... Waiting for some news

I purchase this motor as a curiosity more than anything else, but I have to say I was very impress with the test results. I test the motor with two (2) Master Airscrew 3 blade 9x7 (one normal rotation and the other is a pusher) with a 40C 3S 5000 battery and I was getting the following:

Motor one (back motor with pusher 3 blade 9x7)
Watts = 366
Volts = 11.9
Amps = 30.8

Motor Two (front prop 3 Blade 9x7 blade)
Watts = 376
Volts = 11.9
Amps = 31.6
After 1 minute of running at full throttle both motors where not even warm, total thrust after 30Seg with new charged battery was 2.25Kg (70.4 Ounces).
I thing I will put this baby in my Skywalker, very impressive HobbyKing.
I will suggest to HobbyKing to include the screws that hold the back prop (four screws of 3mm each) the motor does not come with then.

Well first impressions are good. This is a very nicely made motor and an absolute steal at the price.

However.

It has one (common) design flaw of many counter rotating designs. The inner shaft which runs the front prop is very long and of course unsupported over most of its length. They have also IMO made it too thin. A stouter shaft would have been sensible. It will be VERY vulnerable in front end impacts and is subject to massive vibration if there is anything out of balance.

As it is - it does work but you MUST carefully balance the front prop. I ran it on two GWS 9x5 3 bladers which was the only counter rotating set I had in an appropriate size. Pulled 28A (377W) total on a half discharged 3S 2200mAh. Need to give it a proper workout on a couple of normal two bladers.

The sound is awesome and it's worth the incredible low $30 just to have one. :-)

Neat item HobbyKing.

Very well made. You will need a prop reamer for the rear prop. the rear prop is held on by screwing the cross shaped plate to the motor can, clamping the prop in between, screws not included. Sounds MENACING. The roar produced by this motor set is unique. 12x4 to 10x7 props are the range, depending on application, cell count and desired performance. I use 3s 11x6 for spirited performance in 60" piper cub. EVERYBODY stares as if I am nuts, but I think it is out of envy. Also, this bit of kit CANCELS ALL TORQUE REACTION ON THE AIRFRAME.
