Are you serious about your quad racing?  Then here's some exciting news for you.  As used by Nytfury from our own Team Multistar crew, the ARC 200 by Darkside Quads has arrived!

For Nytfury the ARC 200 is the "go to" frame.  Manufactured from the highest quality CNC machined carbon fiber, these frames are almost indestructible and with a 2mm body and 4mm thick arms. The ARC 200 will withstand just about anything you can throw at it.   By using a single bolt through design of the centre stack, four bolts go all the way through the bottom deck to the top deck and separates this frame from anything we have seen for strength.  Add to that, slick knurled quality metal fixing spacers and you have yourself a sensational quad racer that goes together easily and has proven itself to be a winner time and time again.

Designed and refined by Stevie1Dur and Nytfury from Team Multistar, the ARC 200's central mini-tower setup makes for a very maneuverable machine that is quick as it is nimble.

The results speak for themselves; since launch the ARC200 has:

- Won the MultiGP Championship

- Set the MultiGP UTT1 World Record time trial

- Set the MultiGP UTT2 World Record time trial

- Top Qualified at the French Drone Nationals

Ark 200

Jan 13, 2020

Love this frame. Bought 3 in sale. Better than most more modern frames and has survived some serious crashes.

This might be an older frame but its brilliant. So good I bought 3. I've crashed it hard a few times, dusted it down and carried on.

Fantastic NOT a starter frame

Mar 09, 2018

Strong, light, fast, no room, and no camera protection and only 16x16mm motor mounting holes. Great fun with matek f405-CTR and 33amp turnigy maltistar esc's and some cheaper racerstar 2205 2600kv Runcam swift 2.

Great frame! super high quality stiff carbon fibre, way stiffer than the shendrones mixuko, super light and fast and takes massive crashes. using with a matek mini pdb and race flight revolt flight controller with DYS fire motors.

English:
It is a very good frame. It is small , light and strong. I flew it with Turnigy D2205 2600kv , ZTW spieder 18A ESC and a cc3d mini as FC. I use Multistar 1.4A 3s 65c battery. You can Fly so fast and make Freestyle flying it's anbelevabel nice.
It took some Time to Build that all together. It is close but Possible.

Deutsch:

The frame is awesome

Dec 11, 2016

This frame lives up to the hype very quick and stable durable is an understatement I found the build very simple and quick there is plenty of room for everything I have had a grate lot of enjoyment from watching nyte fury racing and actually getting the frame myself placing mini monster motors on one anticipating the release of the Viking motors for my second frame now I'm exited to build my second with 2205 2600 Kv motors to see if I can rip a hole in the time continuum.
I have had many expensive x frames and this little one I think out performs them all if not equal to I can make it fly the way I want to win races it's simple and it delivers when you need it

nice frame great price

Nov 30, 2016

Finally got this thing in the air today. I was using the hk 250mm plastic frame combo with 1704 1800kv motors, 12a afro esc's... broke the arm and set this one up using the components from that kit. i was worried it would be 'harder' to fly but that is not the case. definately takes more thought to setup bc there isnt lots of room. make sure you get a nice pdb that fits the 30.5 square hole pattern - maybe find one with built in osd. i zip tied the x4r-ii reciever under the topdeck with my video trans on top of the top deck - sandwhiched together essentially. i put my matek pdb on the bottom of the stack, and am using a KK MINI to control it all!! works nicely. also im running on some 1300mah 45-90c turnigy lipos, i got about 6min with fpv gear mounted. You will also need a 200-230ish mm battery strap!! HOBBYKING needs to sell some spare arms perhaps, but hopefully i wont need them anytime soon.

Comes in a tiny box, parts look nicely made and there are two bolt options for the FC.
It's a bit challenging to fit FPV transmitter and receiver antennas so I made a top plate for it from some thin black anodised aluminium, that takes any heat from the FPV tx and allowed me to mount 5.8 and 2.4GH antennas. Obviously adding more to the frame gets away from it's naked light design but many users could probably sacrifice a few grams for robust and easy build. I like the design for the engineering simplicity but do feel there should be a separate "simple" top plate option that will mount the FPV TX with antenna vertically behind the FC.
Great frame for those who want to go super simple and can work out how to mount stuff.

Just finished my build on this yesterday. No fpv gear on it, just the basic flight package.
I used a Matek PDB and a Naze32 rev 5 controller with DYS 20A ESCs and DYS 2205 2300Kv racing motors. The trick with these small frames is to direct solder everything. The frame comes with 4 extra long screws and some fiberglass washers for mounting the PDB on the bottom of the stack (use the washers to make sure the PDB does not contact the carbon fibre frame). Next, use the short spacers to mount the controller and then the taller ones to complete the stack and add the "X" to the top of the frame. I originally used an OrangeRx satellite for my Rx but had a problem with it and swapped it out for a CPPM Rx.
As far as the camera mount goes, there are holes in the frame that line up with my Foxeer mount but the top of the second plate gets in the way. As I'm typing this I've just realized that what I thought was the bottom place is probably the upper plate and switching them will solve that problem (doh!). Anyway, very satisfied with the quality of this frame. It does take a little ingenuity to make everything fit but the results seem worthwhile.
