Initial findings are quite good. Fin isn't exactly vertical, the wing joiner tube isn't perfectly horizontal, and the flap travel is uneven and insufficient, but the finish is nice. For the price I think it's still good value, but why oh why are there no instructions in the box?

I'll post further results once she's been flown.

I ordered this model on Sunday evening, and it has just arrived (wed) so very fast delivery.
The quality of this glider looks to be first class, it really is the best buy I have ever had in models, so if you are thinking of getting one I would say "order it now"
Thank Very Much UK Hobbyking.

Ordered the kit on Thursday, was shipped on Friday and arrived superbly packed on Tuesday - double boxed. Have bought a lot from HK, many good things, and a few bad apples, but you only get abused by review replies when you tell straight what you think. This kit however, is the best quality kit I seen so far in this class/size scale glider, which is usually sold in the shops for a lot more money than this DG-1000. Its nicer made and better glasswork than the CMPro Ventus or Discus, for half the price and better scale detail.

No, its not your average foamy you build in half hour, but a very nice scale glider kit, which requires a bit of work to get the desired results.

The scale geometry, incl forward swept wing, very high aspect ratio and the chosen airfoil sections suggest, it is also not a glider for a beginner. Also I have not flown this DG yet, but I can almost guarantee you, it doesnt only look very scale, but will also fly very scale...with the good and the bad..i.e. not very forgiving if not properly.

Was initially just chop the nose of it, and electrify it, like we done before many times, but its simply too gorgeous to mutilate like that...and went ahead and bought the big 2 meter Super Cub from the AU warehouse last night to tow this one..and a few mates gliders at that.

All in all...the kit is better than a CMPro Ventus/Discus in the same class, and quality is mo

This aircraft is beautiful well finished but has weaknesses, the tail of the fuselage landing difficult and fragile if the wings are moving in the fuselage and are not symmetrical, I stuck a tube in the fuselage and wings for more information and better flight. 300grs about missing front to balance the plane, so I put a 300w motor and a battery of 1800mah 3s and put a lot of work aileron, direction and elevations for the aircraft to be reactive to avoid the crash. Otherwise, he whistles a lot in the wind at high speed, I like. But it's a plane that requires a good technical experience in developing and piloting, it is dangerous to make a loop with .. Its weight is 1.6 kgs finished for mine.

I thought that by sending a long way - to the Polish model will be checked.
Failure.
Very large differences in the symmetry and geometry of the model, which can not be repaired. The fuselage cracked on the seam on the back of the hull
While the T45 was OK to DG 100 resembles the old Chinese products. injury.
HK signaled that it mistakenly paid two times but no response from HK.

All of you that may be reluctant about purchasing this sailplane due to shipping damage FEAR NOT. Mine arrived after only 8 days of waiting. Double boxed, padding wrapped around all major parts and all parts bagged. Positively the best packing job I have seen and that includes major US distributors including Hobby-Lobby, Horizon and Tower. This is the first model out of dozens from the above distributors that had NO damage, none, Nada...fantastic!
QUALITY is great for the money. one very small wrinkle in one wing (compared to major wrinkles from the other guys). And as expected the vertical fin leans a small amount (expected and should be an easy fix).
My only complaint is ,as expected no instructions. If anyone knows of a source for instructions please let me know, otherwise I will write instructions as I go and furnish them (right or wrong) to Hobby King.

Also as an immediate unknown it looks like the maximum flap angle is 20 degrees or so. I am used to almost 90 degrees of flap on my Radian Pro. This angle is limited by the bevel cut into the flaps. I know I could change this bevel requiring re-hinging but maybe 20 degrees is enough.
The rest of my concerns occur because after years of not kit or scratch building I have become used to pre-drilled holes for control horns and push rod exits, no problem if you use a new high carbon drill bit.

While on the subject of control h
