I bought this model RTR full of high hopes, given that from the photos it looks very nice.
Just open the package, I saw the crap that instead it was.
I got a hull that, instead of being RTR, was entirely to repair.

The servants inside, were completely unstuck from the hull, and moving free for the box, I was weaving all the threads, finishing poor, low-cut stickers, place them in sprecisione general, poor quality materials, all of the pieces to be glued certainly Again, the gaskets to make the model nearly watertight, even those all come unstuck. The servants who have used is worthless! Noisy, a little strength and plastic gears.

A total crap!

Too bad, the shipping charges, a claim for a refund were too expensive, otherwise I would have definitely refused and returned to the sender.

I do not recommend the purchase!

The boat came well packed, no damage. Pictures in the manual are barely visible, but assembly is not difficult. In about two hours the boat was ready to sail. Here are a few things I found out while sailing: people that recomment to put foam in the nose are right! Saved me from diving for the boat after it was flattened by light wind. Got it out and tied two 2oz bulb-like lead fishing weights right above the keel bulb. Sealed the hatch with some tape. Sails well. Good size - fits in car assembled. It is my first sailboat and I like it!

Nice looking little boat with reasonably good instructions - very well packed into it's box and really looks good - now for the small project of putting the parts together - not much to do so very well done.

rather small but fun sailboat.

build quality is ok, not good, not bad. As you would expect at 50$. A small plastik part was damaged, but most likely due to inkompetent delivery company (usually is) Great beginners boat at the price, want real quality, get something more expensive.

Have had this boat for several moths when I received it the servo tray was loose only required some epoxy to reattach it. Loads of fun sailing in both light breezes, and moderate wind. Only mod was to relocate the batteries they were being hit by the servo arms and added a waterproof on-off switch so the servo cover did not have to be removed each time. Servo cover needs some work to keep a good seal and easy access.

Items are packed in ok box. hull is upright. Keel is fixed into hull. My keel was warped to port. Rudder needs more throw. Outer hole on servo to middle hole on RUD arm. plus pierce pushrod thru part of an earplug > squeeze the earplug to fill the p/rod exit hole.[maybe make it bigger] Hatch fits poorly, and is difficult to seal without strong adhesive tape- which will damage the scaleish decals. Keep to calm waters. The sheets need to run through winch arm, doubling the amount of travel of the booms. Newbies- this means the sail cords enter the hull, pass through a pulley, or ring [you supply] which is attached to the winch-arm. this will reduce friction at the W/arm. Then the end of the cord, is fixed to a point on the mounting plate. The mast and sail are too heavy for the keel ballast. The yacht will heel to the water in a light breeze. Once the sail is wet, she wont self-right to vertical. [ Cut down the mast height and sail.-easy to say. good-luck to the newbies] The deck holes [for scaleish fittings] need C.A. to seal them if fittings not used.

Hull is quite well made, of f/glass, nicely finished, and offers a good platform for a sensible sail size and light-weight mast. Hull gets along very well in light winds, using a small rig off a top quality racing yacht, of similar size.

Just recieved mine Fri. opened the box, this is a VERY small sailboat and looks like a childes toy. The detail is good and most of the assembly was already completed?. However the servo try had broke loose and was just floping around inside, will have to fix that. There is VERY little room to work inside the boat, and only a plastic cover covers the radio gear. This is a good sailing boat for a SMALL pond would NOT put it on a large lake, not sure how it would fair in larger waves. Will write more after fixing problems and making sure everything is in working condition.

Thanks

Big Steve
