Maiden flight lasted one minute.Motor quit, puff of smoke and it was all over.Hobby King warranty not worth the effort. When you look at shipping cost not much value. The good news is,I put a Park 250 2200Kv motor with a Turnigy 12amp controller.Move the tail control rods to the middle holes, leave the landing gear off and a rhino 460 battery fits just nicely. Now it is a nice flyer.Too bad the manufacture didn't put a little more quality into this one.Just a couple more bucks and this would be number one seller.

The plane is ok, but I wouldn't buy it if I could choose again.
Servo throws are very short due to short arms. I had to pull the servos out and replace the arms.
The middle servo was offset to a side, and for some reason would turn left more than right, resulting in uneven aileron throw.. I tuned the curve on my controller but my roll rate is suffering.
The plane can't be hand launched, it nose dives right into the ground.
It's not as stable as I expected either.. if flies straight stable, but don't expect nice loops or any 3d performance.
The motor is pointing too far up, the mount can be aimed down more to get more forward thrust.
I crashed it 3 times, the nose got scrunched up and the motor mount broke.. It's still fixable, but it's not as crash proof as I would expect due to it's weight.
The plane easily stalls and nose dives due to the short wingspan and heavy weight.. it also needs a lot of speed to keep flying.

I bought this due to all the other good reviews, but was a little disappointed. The wings are too small for the weight of this plane, so this is a pretty fast flying plane and launching by hand proved to be impossible for me (two nose dives into the ground). The EPO foam is not unbreakable, those two tries dented it quite a bit out of space.

The arms on the servos are extremely short, so the rudder and elevator barely move 3mm, which doesn't give enough control. I'm ending up maxing out the input while flying.

The middle servo for the ailerons on mine was offset improperly and it would roll left much more than right on maximum input. I had to fix that with a weird "curve" on my transmitter that limits the left roll so it's same as the right.

I now pulled out the rudder/elevator servos and put long throw arms on them from a Turnigy 1440. This should help a lot. I'm also going to put some blenderm tape on the hinges, it has no tape at all.

The motor mount was also not glue straight, so the motor was pointing slightly to one side. Pulled it out with pliers, cut some of the foam and re-glued it straight.

Overall, it's an OK plane, but HK should ship this as KIT so we can fix the servo problems and maybe mount a stabilizer inside the fuse for those who want.

The reason I bought this plane is to get another plane free :) Well, this Dolphin is very durable especially when it has the prop facing backwards. I have crashed this plane many times but the prop is still intact and the plane is still in very good shape.

It is not too easy to fly this plane as a novice as it reacts very sensitively to the controls. However with practice, I am slowly to enjoy flying the plane.

If you are looking for a beginner's plane, it would be a better choice to buy Windragon, it flies very easily :)

I have just flown my little sport model. It tracks well and flies like a bigger plane. It handles wind well and I found no bad habits, but I think it is too quick for beginners.

I built mine with as the Sport Glider that comes with the mini Cessna by Easysky. It is absolutely the best aileron trainer I have flown. Forget the landing gear and fly it as a belly flopper - you can take it off and land it in the grass. It will take a full nose-in and be flying again in minutes as it is near impossible to break the prop unless it flips over on its back. A 500mah Turnigy 2S will power this plane for over 10 minutes.

Hi I was looking for a trainer that didn't have the motor in front so I would not keep breaking props etc when i crashed them (I have just started the learn to fly R/C) I bought one of these for a trainer (because that is the catagree it was advertised in) I took it out to the field for the first time, where I had an expereanced flyer test it for me. It flew very well, but his first comment after take off was that it is not a trainer. It was far to twichy for a novice pilot. It did perform very well with him in control, but no sooner was I given control of it than I had it out of control and into the ground. I have snapped off one wing and broken fuse in two. It is repairable, but it will stay in the shed untill I have found something else to use as a trainer. My Veiw DO NOT BY AS A TRAINER.

I went out flying the Hobby King/ Easy Sky / Esky / Dolphin this morning. This is IMHO the best 4 ch trainer there is. Not only would I recommend the Dolphin to anyone with ESkys Simulator practice, I would also recommend it to anyone that has not flown 4 ch planes in awhile. It is a tail dragger with steerable rear wheel but even as a beginner I was doing rolling take offs. I concentrated on not Stick Banging the TX and the plane flew great. I like this kit so much I decided to order a second one as well.

Just recieved my plane today and absolutley nothing wrong with it, no damage at all. Obviously the supplied foam glue is very poor hence why i used epoxy to glue the tabs on. The instructions are also extremley basic and pictures no hz toelp at all, but that was to be expected. As with flight performance i have yet to fly due to weather so i will try and video it and write about it when i do. So far it is very
easy to build and am impressed thus far.
