    Product Description

    The Dr. is back in his lab bringing you new speed controllers optimized for use with EDF's. These ESC's offer smooth start up and a linear throttle response. No miss starts, or other hiccups. These EDF friendly speed controllers offer a range of programming options programmed through your transmitter or with the optional programming card. In addition to being great for EDF use, these ESC's work well in a variety of fixed wing aircraft and have a governor mode for use in helicopters. 

    All Dr. Mad Thrust ESC's feature heavy duty wire leads made from high quality silicone wire and have an appropriately matched battery connector pre-installed. Additionally, the wire leads are extra long since most EDF models tend to have the fan at the back of the plane with the battery up in the nose. The smaller Dr. Mad Thrust ESC's have internal BEC's to save weight, while the larger units are optically isolated, which helps protect your expensive radio equipment. The "opto" units require a separate BEC to power your radio system.

    I got this ESC along with the recommended Dr Mad 50mm EDF and Dr Mad programming card and it screems on a 3 cell lipo pack drawing about 260 watts and generating a pound of thrust measured while hold it on a digital bathroom scale and pointing it downwards ... yeah this is a screemer. Operating it with a Feather Hitec receiver and servo tester works great after I did the throttle calibration ... power up with full throttle then wait for the beeps then zero throttle and more beeps and you are set to go! Without the throttle calibration it will just beep at you!!

    Recived mine today cant get it to work think I got a dud power up and all it does is 3 beeps and nothing may have to return

    Great Dr Mad product,ezy esc to program and is compatible with turnigy programming card also comes with all plugs and connectors pre installed and programing sheet very well assembled great value for money.

    Just picked up this d,mad thurst esc with built in bec.And i have to say it is very good tested it on a 4 cell 2200 35c lipo with a 4800kv 64mm edf.pulling 38amps @wot for 20 sec timing set on high,Esc just loop warm and very smooth throtle responce.And these Esc can be programed with the turnigy card so the best deal all round. I will be getting a lot more if thay stay in stock.well worth the money Thanks H K.
